Some of you christians say that god has always been, but if that is the case, does that mean, at one point in time, he just 'decided' to create the universe spontaniously?

To not be controlling? To give in to one we Love, so that one can give in and Love us in return?

We do not know the power of our words. And what we say in a moment of boredom, or anger, as I do too. May affect others
very deeply. And turn them from a better Life!
We all make these mistakes. Just get over the guilt for acting foolishly, and make amends by teaching Truth. I know you have
the ability within you.

1. If by life, we mean being unicellular or multicellular (cell = unit of life) and therefore undergoing processes like reproduction, energy intake, growth and development and finally death etc, can we say that God alive in this sense? If yes but not in this sense (undergoing these processes and not being made up of cells), what kind of life does God have or is?

2. If by life we mean "activity", everything is alive due to energy that vibrates matter at the fundamental level, thus Earth could be considered alive, a stone or water likewise.

3. or, can you define LIFE for me and tell me how it applies to God.

I don't mean to be offensive to religious people or anybody else, it really is a important query from me so i would very much appreciate your clear and respectful reply. I need this for my personal knowledge not in order to ridicule others so please do answer my question.

Thanks.

People of faith, religion, or reason (from Askers’ view) have this failing of sorts to argue from their present stand point.

They are more likely than not be unable to associate with their secular reasoning to form a convincing platform with which to lay their beliefs on upon conversion to the former, or religious and faithful in the latter secular aspect.

Having converted to their choice belief, why do they have difficulty in explaining their beliefs from the viewpoints once held so dearly (on assumption having experienced both) ?

As illustration:

One claims the spiritual effects is physically evident which probably cannot be verified by empirical means or is dismissed as coincidental.

The other demonstrates empirical evidence for which spiritually cannot be proven.

Kindly refrain, if you please, ad hominem attacks of all parties participating. Thank you.

Anyone who believes everything the bible tells you, isnt thinking very realistic. The bible wasnt written in english...it was translated over many many years...translations are never 100% . so not everything is true...But the main thing i believe is that if you have faith in God, you are all right....Why would He create humans that cant speak a certain language and have His book be in that language? Well I dont know...just spread light and express your opinons on afterlife and God...and what in the bible do you think got translated wrong

A new pastor was visiting in the homes of his parishioners. At one
house it seemed obvious that someone was at home, but no answer
came to his repeated knocks at the door. Therefore, he took out a
business card and wrote "Revelation 3:20" on the back of it and
stuck it in the door.

When the offering was processed the following Sunday, he found that
his card had been returned. Added to it was this cryptic message,
"Genesis 3:10." Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation,
he broke up in gales of laughter. Revelation 3:20 begins "Behold,
I stand at the door and knock."

Genesis 3:10 reads, "I heard your voice in the garden and I was
afraid for I was naked."

Remember when the funniest jokes were the clean ones? They still
are!

"A cheerful heart is good medicine" (Prov. 17:22) Now, pass i t on!

I have seen the 'end times' theme come up a couple of times here; can you provide me with more specific information about the exact timing? Please be as specific as you can, i.e. 'this century' is not really helpful, 'next wednesday at 15:45' is.

It just seems the people I know want to prove everything they accoplished and that some how they will win GODS approval in the end. Yet they do'nt see the suffering right in front of their face. This bothers me alot. Even though I am an adult I wa'nt to be a child or die. I would rather suffer in hell than have everyone take pleasure in my suffering here.

It would be interesting to know how many come through the tunnel of fear as opposed to those coming through the gates of praise and thanks.

Belief in science can be considered a faith of sorts as we attribute a degree of belief in being able to rationalize and make sense of it.

Did you discover or come to religion in faith or in fear ?
What drives you or away from a belief, religion or faith ?
