"i know it sounds bad but wasnt that last book just someones way to scare people into doing right.?

if you already still had to confenss your sins and ask for forgiviness, then what was the point of Jesus torture and getting crucified?
and if your answer was "we don't have to ask for forgiviness but we are just being nice"..... then anyone can commit any crazy crime under the title of "jesus saved me, and my sins already are forgiving".

what was the point of Jesus crucified if you already had to ask for forgiviness?

God is the most powerful he has the power of forgiviness, he already forgave in the old testimony (don't tell me he didn't). all you need to do is asking God for forgiviness and he will. no one need to die for anyone sins. Good people are not equal to bad people, everyone responsible of his deeds.

I mean, getting you children christened with the thought 'just in case' at the back of your mind, and never saying you "don't believe in god" or never saying bad words about him (her/it)? Just wondering how many people fall for it.

how can you say God the most highness is Jesus?

are you telling me that my God came by birth with blood all over? his mother calmed him down when he cries? my God was too weak that his mother was taking care of him, dress him up, feed him? my God go to the bathroom? and the worst part is my God was being tortured by the people he creates? and then killed?
is this your God?

this is not your God, but my God is the one who sent Jesus to you, that's your God. the God who destroy the Egyptian pharoh and support Moses, the God of everything exist, everything is under him, everything is weak compare to his power.

Alright..Before I ask let me first say Im not trying to insult ANYONE, I'm just curious. -- I was raised a christian, and my parents have always pounded it into my head that Im suppose to strongly dislike homosexuals. When I was young I didnt know any gay people so it wasnt a big deal. I didnt hate them, didnt really think about them. Now I'm 24 and even with years of being taught to "strongly dislike" them. I cannot. I have absolutely nothing against gay people....and my family thinks Im very wrong for this. My question is

--Why do alot of christians hate homosexuals? Even if you consider that life style a sin, why is that one sin any worse than any others? God said all sin is equally bad in his eyes (Im not saying whether I think it is or isnt a sin, Im saying even if you DO think its a sin) So why do some christians turn their back on the more acceptable sin but shun gay people for sinning? Im really just curious as to why some people see that as the "Ultimate" sin.

Numbers Chapter 23, Verse 19:God is not a man, that he should lie, nor is the son of man, that he should be changed. Hath he said then, and will he not do? hath he spoken, and will he not fulfil?

My beef is with the lie called money meant to enslave. I am a follower of Christ

. 20The Jews replied, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?" 21But the temple he had spoken of was his body. 22After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the Scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken. JOHN 1

Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves.
Matthew 21:11-13

you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God's household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.

if holyspirit already existed during Jesus time, then the comforter is someone new.

another comforter? someone new that still not known:
John 14:16
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

look carefuly at this verse:
John 16:7
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

he is unknown yet:
John 14:17
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

this is an evidence that Jesus here is talking about someone different than the holyspirit that many christians have been taught it's. Jesus here is talking about someone new will tesitfy of Jesus.

"Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it - even if I have said it - unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense."

The way I take it is that one should have a biased opinion against everything and should question it if the philosophy or evidence do not survive being scrutinised.

Your opinions?
