It was through Jesus sacrifice that we now have the option to ask for forgiveness and have everlasting life. He paid the ultimate ransom that Adam and Eve messed up, a perfect life for a perfect life. Everything God does must have a balance and because of Jesus' sacrifice, that balance has been paid. We must still ask for forgiveness, because confession is good for the soul and if we in all sincerity take the time to ask, and the ransom has been paid by Christ, God will listen to our prayers.
I know my explanation must sound confusing, but I am trying to condense what the Bible teaches without quoting a bunch of scriptures for you to look up.

The point of the crucifixion was the requirement for Old Testament blood sacrifice to God. Christ became the "Lamb of God" and bore the sins of mankind upon his sacrifice by the Romans.
Atonement for sins -- being repentant is another matter altogether. The crucifixion provided a vehicle by which forgiveness of sin may be attained by repenting of that sin and asking forgiveness.
Prior to the crucifixion there were sacrificial ceremonies outlined in Levitical law which were performed in specified rituals to attain forgiveness. These are no longer required.
God does not want your blood sacrifices as these were replaced by His ultimate sacrifice. He only wants your love.
Regarding your issue with the commission of crimes; there are two crimes, murder and rape, which cannot be forgiven in the flesh body. There is but one unforgivable sin; which is for one of God's Elect to blaspheme the Holy Spirit when they're brought before the synagogue of satan during the tribulation.
Your questions are quite relevant. Being in the generation of the fig tree (which began when Israel became a state) it is late in the game and you should get your Bible and bone up for the final.

In the OT, The high Priest had to offer a male sheep for a burned offering & this had to be done once a year. But Jesus Christ was that perfect sacrifice to be offere up once & for all & no more then one time, That man called Jesus took our place so that we all can be save, if they want to be, I don't have to go somewhere once a year to have my sins attonted for, It was attoned right there on calvery, & what Jesus done 2000 yrs ago is still good for today. God required a blood sacrifice & The aninmals only attoned for it just long enough to the next years, But Jsus Blood isour attoinment for ever, & Jesus Had that perfect blood in him since God planet that seed into Mary.

Due to the fact that people were literally slaves to Satan, sin, and death before our redemption by Christ, forgiveness of sins was simply not possible.
Jesus' sacrifice destroyed Satan's power, and the grace Jesus obtained for us made the forgiveness of sins possible.
All we need do now is swear faithful allegiance to Jesus through baptism, and then apologize and appropriately repent, whenever we sin again.

Read all of Hebrews Chapter 9 and Chapter 10.

Hebrews 10:26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.

The question is poorly written so what I think you are asking if Christ died for sins why was that all that is needed in the equation. Christ died for the sins of all....you need only to accept him once, salvation cannot be removed. Your sins are forgiven you are clean in the eyes of God, but Christ wants a personal relationship with you...if you have a weakness, and all sin is weakness, he wants to help you with it. He already knows the sin and the weakness...he just wants you to be honest with him. Its all about trust.

As I see it the deal is this,Jesus made a one time sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins and those who come to believe in Him must turn from sin and sin no more, remember that He told the Woman caught in the act of adultery `your sins are forgiven you,go and sin no more`
However as He knows how dis-loyal and weak we human beings are His sacrifice and precious blood also obtained for us the forgiveness of future sins if we sincerely repent of them.

i guess Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people before the year 33
not for the sins of all times
and asking for forgiveness will make the person feel better and also he will gain respect from the others around him
he wont be considered an asshole

We are in a relationship with God. We talk to Him and He listens, He talks to us and we listen. We have to outwardly make changes in our lives and turn back to God when we sin. We can't just go around sinning and figuring God will forgive us. It's an act of humility and submission to the Lord.

The wages of sin is death. Someone had to Pay for the crime. In order for me to go "free" (to recieve the benefit that someone else paid for) I need to confess and recieve the Almighty's Grace (gift) which I do by MY faith in the Messiah's (YAHOSHUA's) death in MY place.
