I keep seeing questions & answers that suggest that a large portion of the religious community seriously believes that scientists are working collectively to prove that there is no God.

Seriously, I worry about this kind of belief. Is this really how people think? Does the search for knowledge mean disproving God in religious peoples' eyes?

A growing minority of young Muslims are inspired by political Islam and feel they have less in common with non-Muslims than their parents do, a survey revealed.

The percentage who said they would prefer to send their children to Islamic state schools increased from 19% for over 55 year olds to 37% of 16-24 year olds.

The number who said they would prefer to live under Sharia law than British law increased from 17% of over-55s to 37% of 16-24 year olds.

According to the poll, 74% of 16-24 year olds prefer Muslim women to choose to wear the hijab compared with only 28% of over 55s.

And while 7% of all those surveyed "admire organisations like al Qaida that are prepared to fight the West", the figure increased from 3% of over 55s to 13% among 16-24 year olds.

Ms Mirza said: "There is clearly a conflict within British Islam between a moderate majority that accepts the norms of Western democracy and a growing minority that does not."

Why would this 'growing minority' not emigrate?

Do you have the strength or faith or conviction to explore the Secrets of the Bible to discover that the words of the Bible prove, beyond any reasonable doubt, that:

1. Christ was not crucified.

2. Jesus was not the name of the Christ.

3. Only two thieves were crucified.

4. There was no corpse in the tomb of Joseph.

5. Two shrouds were used to fake a burial in the tomb of Joseph.

6. Christ and his disciples outwitted the Biblical Jews.

7. Two Roman Governors and more than 100 Roman soldiers humiliated and punished the Jews with the crucifixion of 2 thieves named Jesus by Roman Decree.

Do you have the guts to read "The Age Of Reason" (available at www.xlibris.com) to be shown the secrets of the Bible that the Quran leads one to for the evidence that the Quran is the Word of The Only True God (John 17:3) Who Christ prayed to and worshipped?

The Age Of Reason is a MUST-READ for all Muslims and Christians.

Will you take up the challenge?

'And there appeared to Him an angel from Heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly, and His sweat became like great drops of blood falling from His brow to the ground.'

How could Luke, Matt, Mark, or John have known this if no one stayed awake with Jesus?

Why do you believe that a god exists? Why don't you? I'm just curious about how many people are on my side of this debate.

1st off I am atheist. This in response to a statement by a christian i saw earlier who stated that atheists tear down christianity for no good reason. I can think of a lot of very good reasons why christianity (or many other religions) is bad for humanity. How about:
1. Filling peoples heads with pure nonsense is a hideous betrayal
2. Religion is the petri deish for fundamentalism and extremism
3. It is a monumental waste of human resources and energy at a time when we should all be conserving energy
4. It promotes murder, geneocide, oppression of women, child abuse, revenge, jealousy (read Genesis folks!! this is what god does!!)

What are your reasons?

4Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,[a]' and will deceive many. 6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains.

9"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

A virile, middle aged Italian gentleman named Guido was relaxing at his favourite bar in Rome when he managed to attract a spectacular young blonde woman.

Things progressed to the point where he invited her back to his apartment and, after some small talk, they retired to his bedroom where he rattled her senseless.

After a pleasant interlude he asked with a smile, "So, you finish?"

She paused for a second, frowned, and replied, "No."

Surprised, Guido reached for her and the rattling resumed. This time she thrashed about wildly and there were screams of passion. The sex finally ends and, again, Guido smiles and asks, "You finish?"

Again, after a short pause, she returns his smile, cuddles closer to him and softly says, "No."

Stunned, but damned if he was going to leave this woman unsatisfied, Guido reaches for the woman yet again. Using the last of his strength, he barely manages it, but they end together screaming, bucking, clawing and ripping the bed sheets.

Exhausted, Guido falls onto his back, gasping.
Barely able to turn his head, he looks into her eyes, smiles proudly and asked again, "You finish?"

Barely able to speak, the beautiful blonde whispers in his ear, "No, I Norwegian."

If according to the bible there was only Adam and Eve then Cain and Able.

Would that not make one of the boys the first mother fkr and the mum som kind of kid abusing perve?

Seeing as with no other females around the sons would have had to get the mum pregnant by having sex with her.

If taking the bible litterally.

How many can answer that and not be cowards trying to get rid of the question by reporting some violation as the accusation cannot be countered in a rational way.

ie no you will burn in hell

No you are ignorant

No reporting

Can you give a rational answer.

Likewise if the church was not so sexaully repressive and simply saw sex as affection so people grow up without repression inc in the church...

Would that not mean all the priests and nuns would be normal, date, fall in love and not end up abusing kids or scremaing burn in hell fornicators?

Islam is for all people from when it was revealed until the Day of Judgment. Indeed, mention of Prophet Muhammad’s coming can be found in the books of the Bible in spite of the changes which have taken place in their texts.
(See Deut. 18:18, 18:15; Isaiah 29:12; Songs of Solomon 5:16; John 16:12-14 & John 14: 15-16).
In beginning one’s search for which religion is true, one should keep four things in mind: First, God gave us the ability and intellect to make the crucial decision: WHAT IS THE TRUE RELIGION? Second, God, the Most Compassionate, did not leave us to go astray without any guidance. Indeed, He sent us prophets with scriptures to show us the right path. Third, seeking the true religion must be the most important thing in one’s life because the everlasting life to come depends on it. Fourth, one can determine the true path and make a rational and correct decision only if emotions and prejudices, which often blind one to reality, are put aside.
