Yes, according to the bible, God is the reason we die, get diseases, why women have pain during childbirth and why they have periods, which I hear aren't pleasant. Nice God, isn't he?

your illogic argument does not make sense
first of all God declared that Eve would have pain of child birth and all women have the legacy of that statement. but it is NOT God that giveth, it is Satan who deceived EVE and beguiled her into beleiving what could be possible. like NOT surely dieing.
Anyway, the punishment is NO longer required at the sins of women, it can be alleviated by pain killers.
will you worship an enemy of God that lies through his teeth?
THE "CURSE" of mankind is not working 6 days a week, or giving birth, the curse is worshipping satan and believing the PiedPIPER instead of staying steadfastly and faithful.
The curse, is the covenant of satan and all the unholiness of murder and all kinds of evil that plague mankind. The saviour said believe in righteousness and repent of sin and life will become much greater, in fact there is a promise in the scriptures that say if men were to be able to accomplish this, that their generations would last 200 thousand years.

I do not believe that God cursed us.
If my Ma-in-law cursed me, I would ignore her.

How about another brain-teaser:
Adam was cursed to till the ground in sweat and toil (but he had already been assigned to till the Garden of Eden before the fall).
Eve was "cursed" to give birth in pain (but during creation she was already commanded to be fruitful and multiply, and it couldn't have been any easier since her body didn't change).
Who, then, was the only character in the garden who received a true curse?

You are looking at thing from a very negative perspective. God did not create us to condem us. He created human beings out of love, and even after we sinned and brought pain and death into the world, He sent His only Son to redeem us. He allows bad things to happen to us to teach us a lesson, but this is only temporary. The punishment will not last forever, because like I said, Christ has redeemed us.

The "curse" was in response to the Fall of man. Hence, God teaches us the lesson that sin has consequences.
All sin listed in the Bible has harmful, negative consequences.

I believe it is written that the Almighty cursed the ground for man's sake. (not the other way around). If you spend a little more time reading the Scripture, you will be more able to ask and intelligent question.

Never!
God gave us a choice. We bear the consiquences of our choices - we can't blame God!.
I think it was Balim who said, under the inspiration of God "Behold I have a commandment to bless and He will bless and I cannot reverse it."
Also you read the results of following God in the first section of Deut 28. If you continue reading, you read the results of not following God's law. The results come from your actions, not from curses from anyone.
