Spiritism is the belief or doctirne that the spirits of the human dead, surviving the death of the pysical body, can and do communicate with the living, especially through a person (a medium) particularly susceptible to their influence.
However, since the God's Word, the Bible, explains at Ecclesiastes 9:5 that the dead "are consious of nothin at all" communication with dead persons is actually impossible. God's law given to Israel forbade inquireing of the dead and spiritism was a capital offense. (Leviticus 19:31; 20:6,27; Deuteronomy 18:9-12; Isaiah 8:19)
In the Christian Greek Scriptures, it is noted that those who practice spiritism "will not inherit God's kingdom." (Galations 5:20,21; Revelation 21:8)
The Bible clearly shows that spiritism comes from an evil source, from wicked spirits, the Devil and his demons.
Thus, spiritism, since it comes from wicked spirits, is unacceptable to those who want to worship God.
