Peace!
Look around you. The beauty and order in nature and the universe proves there is a God. Einstein said something like that.
Sometimes we feel that there is no God because he expects us to help ourselves. I would say 90% of our problems are self-inflicted.
We get sick because we abuse our bodies, overeat or eat the wrong food. We get into financial difficulties because we spend too much or we are lazy. We cannot get along with each other because we ignore his commandments And then if God does not answer our prayers we say there is no God? Shouldn't we blame ourselves instead?

I do not believe. Seeing is believing, and there has been an abundance of scientific facts that make the bible's writings impossible to attain. Most of the bible is fictious. The writings are merely fictional stories to live your life by. It's like watching cartoons with morals. It was also a good form of government when people were stuck in traditional forms of life, and did not have the courage to say otherwise for fear of persecution. It was simple, if you did not believe in god in most cultures, you were either exiled or executed. It was also a good form of government, because children were born into the belief, and were not shown any other theories in order to base their own judgement. This is also a form of brainwashing. Since these children were born into it, they follow blindly, with the belief that if you go against the morals of god, you will be punished for all eternity in hell. This seems like a pretty steep price to pay since we only live an average of 80 years, and it was much less a couple thousand years ago. Many of the stories that were based on actual events were depicted through ignorant eyes. The people that documented this were going off of heresay, or they did not have a good understanding of the events in the first place. How would you describe an automobile if you saw it through the eyes of someone who lived two thousand years ago, I bet you would be at a loss of words. Many other stories were greatly exaggerated as well, just like the game telephone, one person tells someone this story, but when they tell someone else, they change it slightly, but after a few people have relayed it, it's not even close to the original. I could go on and on, but I really don't have all night, so this should give you something to think about at least, you're welcome for the insight. Whether it changes your views or not, as long as you read it and consider it, I'll be pleased. Thank you for reading.

Hello,
Coming from a not so religions back ground I think it would be fair to say I'm personally not sure if there is a God or Lord But do know there is some other part of life that we may not be able to see. After all we would be pretty narrow minded to think other wise.
Look at all the UFO sightings that have been reported never alone the ones that were left un reported. Then you have the spiritual word, sighting of ghost, voices and things occurring out of the ordinary. Even out dreams have been taking over my unexplained events, ESP and other sorts.

Too much of the unexplained evidents.
So yes there has to be some kind of god, spirit of other being.
Than you
Sandra

I believe in the possibility of a supernatural God...there are too many unanswered questions, re, the universe and beyond etc..

However, I am not convinced that if God exists, he is the God that I was raised to believe in...not a God of wrath...why would any God posess human emotions such as anger (the great flood)...when such emotions are considered to be serious sins, well, in humans anyway?

I say god doesn't exist because there is no evidence for it. Now, I know that lack of evidence isn't proof, but there is more.

I say that god doesn't exist because the attributes ascribed to him contradict each other...

It is not possible for a being to be all knowing, all powerful, and totally benevolent, and yet be the creator of this world....

Why? Because a perfect being that knows everything, and has only a desire to do good, cannot have been the cause of anything bad. And since we know for a fact that bad things happen every damn day, we also know that the god as the bible describes, could Not have been the ultimate cause of everything.

Furthermore, ask yourself why a god would make humans, knowing that he'd eventually have to send his son to be killed by them? Also, ask yourself why he ( god, a perfect being) would have made humans so flawed as he would need to create a flood to wipe them out? Why is it that a perfect being would have to rectify a mistake like that? Why is it that a perfect being would have to rectify any mistakes at all?

Anyone who doesn't see that there is no god as the bible describes, is blinded by their, "faith."

I don't find a debate here, just some rantings from those who are ignorant of God's Holy existence. I was in a coma for 6 weeks and during that time, I found that God and Jesus are just as real as yourself. I knew a little about what was going on around me yet I wasn't there with my wife and the nurses in the hospital room. I was in a very deep well and I'll just suffice to say that God is real. No, I didn't meet Him in person but He and Jesus are real and always have been long before the beginning of time.

I was a christian for 20 years. I had a strong belief I was in a relationship with God. Jesus was my life. After many years of prayer and seeking I discovered that all the facts of life are inconsistent with the extravagant fundamental teachings and claims of this belief. Therefore its not true.

I learnt that human beings are easily given over to wishfull thinking, lie and can be easily mislead, so it would be more probable that all Theology's only reflect that human frailty. So I find it very difficult to accept the possibility that any theology can be fully trustworthy. Therefore I am atheist

Which is your side . First define which side you support . I belive a creator . But I do not think creator looks through the universe sphere and watch us . God knows everything feels everything ... But as I have freedom to believe you have opportunity not to believe so there s no need to ask such questions . Nonsense question .

It really doesn't matter what you believe. Belief is a personal thing. In any case, the existence of such a being (or beings) is totally unprovable, so it's your choice. That's why there are so many religions out there evangelizing about something which may not even exist.

Mine is really very simple. I have been at deaths door twice. People gathered around and prayed for me both times. And both times i came back. The first time in a car wreck' I should have died. The second time' 10 years later when i was sent home to die after a major blood vein busted in my brain. Because of prayers of people i didn't even know i live.
