First, I emphasize the world SOME as opposed to ALL.
Anyway, I am an aspiring physicist. I was raised as a Christian, but have become secular since I cannot get myself to believe a lot of the things in the Bible, now that I've had the chance to research them myself. Anyway, I've been told by some Christians that science is evil and that I'm studying things that are not good (in physics). They went on to explain why they thought that science is BS anyway since it has been "disproven" time and again and that I should not waste my life thinking. My response was that science does not proport to be right on the first, second, or even 100th time, but it does recognize when it is wrong and attempts to correct itself. Also, I thought there was something dangerous in being told not to think since it is asking me to blindly follow something (and being a scientist, I am all for thinking and analyzing things). Anyway, what do you people think about all this?
