i always see a bright light on the side, could it be an angel watching over me and my unborn child?. The past couple of months since I've been pregnant, my relationship with God has been stronger than ever. I've never noticed this light before until my relationship became stronger with Him. I couldn't be happier!

I have known many mormons and converted to the faith myself. They have set a great example for me through the way they live there lives. It is sicking what a gossipy world we live in now. Why do people self isolate or draw lines of hate because of what other people say or what they hear or because they are not willing to change and or improve on there lives? I guess i know the answers to these ?'s but am troubled by the world and am looking for sane peoples opinions.

I'm a Catholic, and i think Islam is GReAT! it makes a whole lot of sense than the Bible<< (a load of crap and confusion). i was forced to study the Bible and it was horrid. i started exploring the Quran that a CHRISTIAN friend (an open-mined person) gave me it and it made perfect sense. I wasn't confused anymore with Trinity, Holy Ghost, and Jesus son-of-God **** (no connection between them) Bible is hypocriticle most of the times. I think Islam is NOT a lie, but the true truth, and i'm adament about it! my friend and i, we both are!

First, I emphasize the world SOME as opposed to ALL.

Anyway, I am an aspiring physicist. I was raised as a Christian, but have become secular since I cannot get myself to believe a lot of the things in the Bible, now that I've had the chance to research them myself. Anyway, I've been told by some Christians that science is evil and that I'm studying things that are not good (in physics). They went on to explain why they thought that science is BS anyway since it has been "disproven" time and again and that I should not waste my life thinking. My response was that science does not proport to be right on the first, second, or even 100th time, but it does recognize when it is wrong and attempts to correct itself. Also, I thought there was something dangerous in being told not to think since it is asking me to blindly follow something (and being a scientist, I am all for thinking and analyzing things). Anyway, what do you people think about all this?

for Shias, Ashura is commemoration of Hussain's martyrdom, while the day is important for Sunnis because Moses, on that day, fasted to thank Allah for liberating Isarailites. Prophet Muhammad fasted on that day and asked his followers to do so.

So doesn't follow that Ashura is commemorated by Shias and Sunnis for different reasons?

1) Don't harm your own life
2) Don't harm other lives
3) Try and leave things better than you find them

If not, why not? What is missing?

If you are God, and you know everything and you last forever, and if you have all the power in the universe, it is easy to be good. It is even easy to suffer and to die a terrible death, the blink of an eye in an eternal lifespan. It is if you are a human that it is difficult, with all the pains and pressures of life, always to put love and forgiveness and other people and God first; never to surrender to prejudice and aggression and materialism and selfish desires. When you have no power, no status, no material goods, that is when it is most difficult to be supremely good. Jesus was great because he was only human. Don't you agree?
