As I continue to search knowledge, I feel Mohammad had a false dream...........and now they are waiting for Mahdi. To me much of what Mahdi will do parallels the anti-Christ.
But as far as "End Times"..........no one knows when and I think it's sad that so many are focused on this "rapture" thing when all should just be walking in the way of the Lord and following his commandments.
Enjoy life that God gave you and walk in his ways.
Peace be with you.
The Apocalypse Of Saint John
Chapter 22
16 I Jesus have sent my angel, to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the root and stock of David, the bright and morning star. 17 And the spirit and the bride say: Come. And he that heareth, let him say: Come. And he that thirsteth, let him come: and he that will, let him take the water of life, freely. 18 For I testify to every one that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book: If any man shall add to these things, God shall add unto him the plagues written in this book. 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from these things that are written in this book. 20 He that giveth testimony of these things, saith, Surely I come quickly: Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Hey, Moses is a prophet whom both Shias and SUnnis respect.
And Hussein is the grandson of the same Prophet that they both believe.
Then where lies the difference?
Its simple. The Sunnis follow ONLY the authentic SUnnah (Tradition) of the Prophet. But unfortuantely some of the Shia brethern have taken incidents to be a vital part of the religion.
We dont celebrate the Birth Day or mourn the Death Day of the Prophet. So why should we mourn the Death of his grandson.
In Islam, the birth or death of any human being is NOT important. Thats the reason, the islamic calender does NOT begin with The Prophet's Birth or Death. Instead it began with an incident that was more important and justified than anything, which is the Migration for the sake of ALLAH to protect the Deen (religion)

Well I do not wish to say bad things, but the Shia have invented things in religion, which they will not be forgiven for.
As for what I believe (being a follower of the Qu'ran and Sunnah)
is
Volume 2, Book 26, Number 662:
Narrated 'Aisha:
The people used to fast on 'Ashura (the tenth day of the month of Muharram) before the fasting of Ramadan was made obligatory. And on that day the Ka'ba used to be covered with a cover. When Allah made the fasting of the month of Ramadan compulsory, Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever wishes to fast (on the day of 'Ashura') may do so; and whoever wishes to leave it can do so."
Volume 4, Book 55, Number 609:
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
When the Prophet came to Medina, he found (the Jews) fasting on the day of 'Ashura' (i.e. 10th of Muharram). They used to say: "This is a great day on which Allah saved Moses and drowned the folk of Pharaoh. Moses observed the fast on this day, as a sign of gratitude to Allah." The Prophet said, "I am closer to Moses than they." So, he observed the fast (on that day) and ordered the Muslims to fast on it.
So We can See that We can fast on this day but are not obligated too as we are in Ramadan, it removes the sins of the year when you fast that day.
Peace Be With You

Yes Ashura the 10th day of Muharram is commemorated every year by muslims can be for different reasons such as for Shiah and Sunni. But in general according to the hadith Muhammad pbuh suggested for fasting in commemoration of the 10th day of Muharram is for liberating Israelites by Moses guided by Allah from the suppression of the king of Fir'aun from Egypt acrossed the Read Sea to Palestine. They were saved by Allah by instruc
tion to Moses for beating the sea by his stick and the sea water was broken and after Moses and his followers passed by the sea water came back to be united and Fir'aun and his soldiers were died and sinked except Fir'aun himself thrown by the wave on the beach as an evidence of the punished unbeliever..Besides that on the same date we muslims commemorated the 10th day of Muharram as the orphan day, because on that date Muhammad pbuh gave protection to an orphan whose father died as a martyr in Uhud war by adopted him as his son..Muslims commemorated that day every year by giving donation/alm to orphans

"Sunni Muslims believe that Moses fasted on that day to express gratitude to God for liberation of Israelites from Egypt. According to Sunni Muslim tradition, Muhammad fasted on this day and asked other people to fast."
