You keep asking a lot of questions on many many things, science keeps giving you answers that stand the tests of reason: along the way, sooner or later, you come to a sort of dead end, where science has no more answers! That's when you realise there are 2 reasons for a scientific belief in God: firstly, the way ahead from that point is shown by the guidance you receive from 'up there': secondly, there is no 'u' turn on the track of those questions, so it's the belief in God that takes you further!

First, it is not correct to say that science based upon evidence and logic. Science is based upon observations and assumptions. Then we build up concepts and laws which can be put to test and be verified. However, there might be a basic flaw in the observation itself. This is what happened when Copernicus declared that earth is revolving around the sun and it is not the other way round. Untill then, all their laws for the solar system remained valid for more than 1000 years.
Thus, science is nothing but imagination which can not be verified beyond a limit. Who knows what is the source of gravity?. It can go on and on. Finally, it leads to a conclusion that one can not disprove the existence of a superpower God.

I am a Christian but I will say that science should NOT believe in a God, but science should be open to the possibility, and look objectively. I keep hearing the same old mantra that science (see Gelflings answer) requires experiments with measurable results. Okay I will bite on that, someone please show me the evidence obtained from repeated experiments of spontaneous generation of life from non living matter. Oooooop's that's right there is no measurable result as all of the attempts at this have failed, so the theory of evolution is a wonderful "fact" but no one can explain how it started. Sorry but you can't have a finished product without a start. That is like winning a race you never entered, which is what evolutionist's are trying to propose.

The Holy Quran described the Sun as a source of light, and the Moon as a Lamp. That means the Sun gives its own light, and the Moon as a Lamp just borrows light from the Sun. This was proved centuries after the Quran was revealed.
Likewise, the Quran describes in detail, all the stages of childbirth, right from conception till 9 months..again, this was discovered centuries later by doctors...there are numerous other examples like these.....
If you read this beautiful and sweet book, and if you contemplate, then you will be surprised to find that science in fact is acknowledging today what Quran said 1400 hundred years ago...

Science is not a person and is not capable of belief. Science is a process of testing ideas by careful observation, determining the underlying mechanisms that link the observations, and testing the mechanisms by attempting to disprove them. Putting God in the blanks makes God a symbol of ignorance.

Since science has prov-en it can manipulate things to form their own conclusions whatever we put on here as an answer science will just twist it to form their own beliefs. I will go ahead and put my 2 answers up here to see how you twist them. 1. The Bible and GOD being taught in Schools many years ago. Morals were prevalent and laws were followed. Since the Bible and GOD were taken out of the Schools laws are broken everyday (murders, rapes, robberies, etc.) and morals are at an all time low. People actually had good morals and knew right from wrong because they followed the Bible. 2. I have even seen so many on here saying 'we all evolved from fish'. and yet others say 'we evolved from monkeys'. if we evolved from fish- why are there still fish? and if we evolved from monkeys- why are there still monkeys? Science has prov en that by their own analogy that we came from GOD.

God removes the need for science, giving people an easier life.
God explains a lot of things science currently can't.
Not that I believe those, without science (particularly evolutionary theory and microbiology) modern medicine would be pretty dead.

Science does not have the capacity for belief. It is a method. Your question is like asking if there are two reasons why baking should believe in a god.

Science has nothing to do with belief-it isn't supposed to say anything about God just reveal facts about our universe based on solid evidence.

Science and religion are different. Science is based on evidence, not faith. Believing or not believing is irrelevant to science.
