......does this mean that all practisioners of any religion but Christianity (or more likely your specific branch of it) are the children of Satan? If that's the case, would Satan be considered more powerful than God (since the majority of the world is non-Christian)? Is a God that embodies love and mercy compatible with these principles?

How is there any excuse for not understanding that this means we need to all drop our possessions and go out into the mission field......how is it we got to the point of ignoring Jesus' and the disciples' examples?

THere is no excuse...no justification for not abandoning all and going out to find the lost. Christians justify their fattened lifestyle and think they are still doing God's Will...it makes me furious that so many are so unwilling to give all for God....HE gave all for us.

I'm located in America. I need to know more about the Church of England. I understand that Henry the VIII is the cause of the evolving of the Church, in England, to become an umbrella that encompasses a Higher Church - Catholicism (Anglo Catholic)- and Lower Church - Protestant/Evangelical. Please answer these questions:

(1) Can someone tell me if this is different than an actual Episcopalian Church, as in America? I thought the Angelical Church of England IS Episcopalian ?

(2) If a Priest quits as an Episcopalian Priest and becomes an Anglo-Catholic Priest, wasn't he always inside the Church of England, if he lives in England? And still is ?

(3) Am I mistaken, Episcopalian is a cut between Catholic and Protestant?

I have read all the books by Susan Howatch on the Church of England, and I am still a bit confused. Thank you for your help.

What happens when a muslim pretends they are so prayerful because they pray five times a day? (few do.) We CHristians are told to pray unceasingly...we are ALWAYS and everywhere to have prayers on our lips for those in darkness to come to the LIght of Christ. The American churches are telling Christians we will be taken out before the tribulation, but Jesus clearly says to His disciples, AFTER you have undergone all these things, then He will return. I believe the Pastors in America are keeping the believers asleep to the shortness of time, and they give false hope that we will not endure hardships and plagues, famines, the sword, and persecution. The time is upon the Church and it is almost the day when no man can work.

But they keep lying to us, letting the Church sleep, looking for comfort, prosperity, and all those promises when we have not done our conditional part yet, and forsaken ALL to follow HIM. If we do not pick up our crosses, we are not worthy to be His Disciples

Men in some sects of the Mormon church can leave their dozens of kids without paying any support. They can kick out one wife when they acquire a new one. Legalizing polygamy would give government a say in regulating the breakup or desertions in these unions. As Christ prescribed, "Do unto other as you would have them do unto you", even if it has to be enforced by law.

Okay, where the heck in the Bible does it say that you will go blind if you masturbate? Would somebody PLEASE quote that verse for me? I've been a true Christian for over 8 years, and in all my time studying the Bible, I have NEVER come across a verse like that!

Furthermore, masturbation is a great way to let out your sexual feelings and thoughts WITHOUT contacting AIDS, STD's, or pregnancy! For women, using dildo's is a perfect way to determine what size penis is satisfactory, and what size is just to small. Yes, penis size matters to women just like boob size matters to men!

So, would somebody please tell me where it says masturbation is wrong? If the Bible DOESN'T condem it like I suspect it doesn't, anybody want to tell me what's actually WRONG with it? Why it's oh-so sinful?

It is not religion itself that bothers you, nor the name of Christ, but it is his teachings you can't stand. You can't stand not being the master of your own destiny, being able to choose what is right and wrong in your own little world; it is simply human pride and selfishness that causes you to totally reject and even resent the very notion of God. And before any of you say "which God" or "not just Christianity...", perform a search and do a comparison of which religion and which god atheists are generally referring to on Y/A.

- we have the answers to the true religion within our hearts already, and simply have to find them, but we get clouded by the views of the world - we know the truth deep within us

I'm told by my girlfriend (a Muslim) that I'm not viewing the various calls to violence in the Qur'an in the correct context. Sura 9:5, for instance, instructs me to "Slay the unbelievers wherever ye shall find them." Sura 4:101 similarly reads "For the unbelievers are open enemies to you." Exactly what context am I supposed to view these versus in? Furthermore, how do they mesh with the whole "religion of peace" bandwagon that everyone seems to be jumping on? Am I really reading them in the wrong context by assuming that they mean what they seem to mean, or is it the Qur'an itself which is out of context with the modern world? Does it, perhaps, fit in better within the context of the 7th century. If so, how am I to apply these barbaric teachings to this age of science and reason? While we're at it, any thoughts on Jihad?

P.S. I'm an athiest, so pointing out that there is violence in the Old Testement of the Bible is not particularly relevant to this discussion.

I would like to ask that any non-christians please not respond as I am in kind of a tough spot. I do wonder if God loves us unconditionally. What does unconditional mean in this context? What does love mean in this context? For me, I just don't understand and it makes me really sad and disturbed because I feel like how can God allow a child to be brutalized (me) their entire life in all kinds of ways imaginable, and then say, oh now by the way don't do this or this or that or you're going to hell. I just feel like I can't take all the pressure, it almost feels hopeless to me. I just know I am going to keep screwing up. And how come he can't just love me and welcome me home to heaven knowing all the horrible #$@# that has been done to me? How can he put so much pressure on one person? How can that be love? Does anyone know???
