would you believe in abortion if you or a loved one was raped by and aids infected person and got pregant, thus bringing a aids baby into the world?
or if the doctor told you or a loved one that if you have this baby you WILL die and the baby has 50% chance of living. would you then be so strict in your convictions.
Do you not think it is circumstantual.
I think abortion is dumb when it is just a form of birth control, but i do believe that there are times when it is justified.
how about you?
if you agree than you are not pro-life you are pro-choice.
and if you do not aggree than you are ignorant and a liar.

It is mainly applied to the KJV among Independent Fundamental Baptists. I was wondering why they think that the KJV is a perserved text and therefore superior to all other translations of the English Bible.

Having read Dianetics, it seems to offer little more than a rehash of transactional analysis and engram theory.

Aside from these two areas, what else has Scientology to offer and why is it called a church when it appears to be anything but?

I've seen a lot of Christians discussing free choice as an inherent part of worship. It seems like the vast majority of people hold the same beliefs and attend the same chrches as their parents. Given this fact, is it free choice? If the vast majority of people follow their parents, that strikes me more as indocrination.

I do not exclude myself. I have most of the same values and beliefs as my parents. There are differences of course, but by and large I have accepted most of my parent's moral system.

The biggest indicator of political party is also what your parents were. The vast majority of people just vote how daddy voted.

most religious people are trying to reach the same goal. What if we really worshiped the same god/goddess that just changed form to relate with each of us on an induvidual level????
Just a thought!!!!!!!!!!

Why do people who are pro life and anti this, pro that ,so quick to push there viewpoints on the world and think the world needs to follow there morales and beliefs they set forth.
Is this not a free country we live in? Can we not do as we chose without having to obey laws that are based on someones personal belief?
Are we still free or are you slowly taking that away from us?
How about we stop bitching and complaing about what someone else is doing and quit lobbying for our own personal laws and get rid of some of them??

Ever since I can remember, I've tried using reason before making decisions.

Well now, If I remember correctly, there's a part in the bible warning against changing any part of this 'word of God'. Can we really trust that through all the ages the bible has gone through, that all its messages are still 100% intact?

I think: How old is the bible? How many people has the bible gone through? How many generations and governments... How many translations.. How many additions have been made?

Unfortunately I answer my question with a 'No'. My reasoning is that we, as humans, have free will. We as humans are also far from perfect, and unfortunately often corrupt, especially those of us with power.

Truly ask yourself these questions.

The bible, in my honest opinion, would be better off replaced with a simple phrase; Do no harm. =)

Now... if everybody would follow this simple phrase, wouldn't the world be a better place?

Have any of you found that you still have a deep fondness for many of our R&S friends, even though you may be at complete opposite ends of the "belief spectrum"?

I know I have!

where you will be reunited with all of your loved ones, why do you mourn when people die? Shouldn't you throw a party and say "See you in a few years!"

Try to follow me here, because we have a circular problem.

The Quran and Sunnah has many references to covering up your "ornaments" and just "covering" up in general and to be "modest" and not provocative.

In normal socities, a woman who has covered up everything but her face and ankles is not provocative to anyone because there are plenty of other woman who dress normally or provocatively, and thus gain the attentions of men with normal natural desires.

So its the context thats important. A woman with a bikini would appear to be a self righteous prude in a nudist colony.

Now consider Islamic communities where woman are covered up in various ways. Men have sexual needs. Its part of their natural make-up. Where they cannot fixate on "breasts", cause they are covered up, they will fixate on the next thing. "Hair" for example can all of a sudden arouse! Thus the hair must be covered, and thus men fixate on the next thing...where does it stop? The Taliban had it right. Yes?

Or do you think women should stay at home and take care of their kids and husband like God intended. So therefore, would it be a sin for a woman to work?
