I wonder how many people "got it"??
Some things have to be experienced to be understood...like God, for instance.....

If you were a blind man asking me this question, I would first touch you eyes and inform you(if you didn't already know)that these are organs of perception. I would use sound and touch to show examples of perception in different contexts. I would then explain that vision is a different context of perception which involves a range of frequencies similar to sound. I would play the eight notes of an octave and describe the colors which correspond to them. Blue having a deeper pitch and red having a higher pitch. I would use all of your available senses as a reference in whatever way applies, to help you grasp the concept of color. If you have done the 'math' correctly, you will understand, and maybe even be healed of your blindness.

Red smells like iron. Other than that I don't know
Blue smells like a summer's day an instant after its started raining.
Red hurts. A surprising sharp pain that disturbs your inner balance and leaves you shaken afterwards.
Blue aches. Hold your hand under cold water until you feel nothing. Just before all feeling fades, thats blue.
To taste red, clamp your jaws down upon a rare steak and enjoy the sense of capture.
I don't know what blue tastes like.
Red sounds like dying embers.
Blue sounds like a brisk step taken in the snow on a crisp January morning.

No. I wish I could describe them to you.
I can tell you what I feel when I see blue. I feel a cool breeze, and I hear the ocean. Sometimes I feel a depression, or hear a saxophone playing a slow somber tune. Tears and baby boys make me think of blue. Air, and so many other things.
When I see red, I feel warm, and cozy, yet sometimes I feel angry or anxious. Sometimes fast, or like driving fast. Death and danger are also associated with red. Blood and royalty come to mind. I hear a gun firing and a snake bite. I hear a fight, and a wild animal roaring. I feel the need to stop.

Red is the hot sun beating down on your face or the flash of rage you feel when you get extremely angry. Blue is being in a cool waterfall with the water washing over your head. Or blue is standing in the snow on a mountaintop on a calm, sunny day in the winter.

How are you writing these questions or reading these answers if you are blind?
Red and blue are colors. They are another property of a thing in this world, along with texture, shape, things like that.
I don't believe you're blind, but on teh off chance that you are, good luck in life (weather or not you need it) though i swear i am not patronizing you.

If you are blind from birth. No I can Not. You have no reference point for color. Think of it as hot or cold. Only you don't sense it with your touch but with a sense that works on a distance. That's the best try......
