True Christianity never allows killing or defends war, never. Jesus made it plain when he stated, " my kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world then my servants would fight". John 18:36

Kill or be killed. What of your duty to those around you? It is one thing to do things for your own gain -- it is another for those around you. Do you think that the Ten Commandments were written by peaceful lambs? Look at how many were killed by the forces under Moses before and after.

True Christianity does no such thing. Jesus taught his followers to "love your enemies and to pray for those hating you." Matt. 5:44. True Christians do not involve themselves in war.

Turning the other cheek sounds like a wuss move. I'll have a shotgun in preparation for a war.

Have you actually read the Bible? I have, and it's one of the most violent books I've ever read. Run an online search for bible violence and you might be surprised. Jesus was not speaking of out-groups with the turning the other cheek thing, he was speaking of other Jews. Out-groups were treated with hostility and contempt.
Jesus reportedly said:
"Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to sin! Such things must come, but woe to the man through whom they come! If your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell. (Matthew 18:7-9)
I don't see a lot of kindness or gentleness there.

The Bible says that God is the one who sets the governments in place. As Christians we are to obey the law.

however i suppose christians could shoot them with tranquelizers. lol
throughout the old testament, god commands for bloodshed.
god gave strength for david to kill goliath, for samson to kill the philistines, he drowned moses's pursuers in the red sea, he drowned the world int he world flood. he commanded a man be taken and stoned for blaspheme, he sent 2 bears to maul 42 youths for calling a man bald.

If your neighbor is about to get murdered and you don't even try to stop it, then you are also partially responsible for his death.
Sometimes violence must be met with violence in order to protect the lives of innocents.
