It means seeking God's awesome power for my life and for others.
I just prayed in my God given prayer language last night and on my prayer rug---I feel like things will be better for me and those I prayed for. Maybe people won't be healed or financial troubles be over but at least they might have a sense of God's presence and feel amazing peace when the circumstances should be making them scream endlessly.

"Pray, v. To ask that the laws of the universe be annulled in behalf of a single petitioner confessedly unworthy."
..........Ambrose Bierce
The most ridiculous concept ever perpetrated by people is that the Lord God of Creation, Shaper and Ruler of the Universes, wants the saccharine adoration of his creations, that he can be persuaded by their prayers, and becomes petulant if he does not receive this flattery. Yet this ridiculous notion, without one real shred of evidence to bolster it, has gone on to found one of the oldest, largest and least productive industries in history.

A prayer can be anything that connects you to the Divine; it is sincerity and faith molded into words and feelings that speak from your soul so loudly and strongly that the Divine can see your unwavering faith and belief that He will make all things right.

Prayer is conversation with God - both speaking but even more, listening. It can sound like Joan of Arc, but experienced pray-ers (those who pray) know that God can, and does, communicate to them as well.

Thanking God for saving me, praising Him, bringing my petitions to Him on behalf of others and asking for the things I need. I ask all this in Jesus' name and say Amen.
God loves you anyway
