This is Michelangelo's interpretation of God bestowing life on the newly created human. It does not harmonize with the Bible says, that God blew into Adam's nostrils the breath of life. (Genesis 2:7) It is, however, an artist' depiction and shows that man lives by the power of God.

i doubt there is a problem as God loves those who Worship and adore Him. the sistine chapel was done in Michelangelo's image of God & His people. in fact there are numerous "people" in the chapel painting that are self & others portraits. in the bottom right hand corner - the man with the donkey ears and serpent around him.... the face is that of the man that made Michelangelo come back and put "clothes" on the people in the portraits.

Michelangelo ran out of marble at the time due to a Moorish trade embargo, so he used what he could find in the shop.
