I don't want to be rude, but if you aren't a christian or don't know anything about the bible, then this question isn't for you. i only want serious answers.

What does the bible say about marriage? Must a couple have the parents blessing before they can get married (i know it's recommended, but is it a sin to get married and not have the parents blessing?) What about living with someone before you get married? Is that a sin too (again, i know sex before marriage is a sin, but what about living together without having sex?) Please provide verses also! Thanks so much for the help!

Abdul Saleem, a British muslim, is in court after being captured on camera saying amongst other things' 7/7 on it's way, Europe you will pay with your blood'.

However he denies that these words were said to cause harm, and stir up racial hatred. Ha!

His address is given as Mellish St, Poplar, East London and he's a BT Engineer - does anyone know him? Are BT going to sack him for his racism, bigotry, and obvious disregard for their 'Diversity and Inclusion' policy?

Almost everyone living in Quebec's tiny town of Herouxville is white, French-speaking and Catholic. But that didn't stop local officials from adopting a rule of conduct for immigrants. Included in the code: women should be able to show their faces in public (aside from costumes worn on Halloween), and they should also be permitted to drive and write cheques. Women should also not be killed in public beatings or burned alive. Critics call the code ridiculous and xenophobic, but Town Councilor Andre Drouin says he has received about 2,000 e-mails of support -- 700 more than Herouxville's population. "We have just published a small document saying who we are and what's our standard," he told CTV News. But some Muslim leaders have called the code a thinly-veiled example of xenophobia. "Racism is coming out of the woodwork now, and it's not being obscure or subtle," said Salaam Elmenyawi of the Muslim Council of Montreal.

True story. Both sisters are fundamentalist home-schooling christians. One of them sent her son to live with me. He stayed a month and I helped him set up an apartment in a nearby town. He was 22 at the time and already "not a christian." He became an atheist within 6 months of moving out here. This is now "my fault" and my sister refuses to talk with me. She stopped taking my phone calls two years ago.

After a conversation with our mom, I tried again last week. She basically freaked out on me and I remained calm but ended the conversation.

My question is - how do I "get over" missing my sisters? I think about them often although I realize we probably won't be friends again. And how do I minimize the impact this has on my parents.

((ACK! Asking personal questions like this bites! How do they do it?))

okay here goes, if adam and eve were supposed to be white, where did the black man come from how about the funny eyed looking Chinese man and what about the monkey looking aborigine, where did all these specie's come from if we all came from the white man, UNLESS adam was a monkey looking white man and eve was Chinese funny eyed looking black woman, but according to Christan's they were white, its very confusing ain't it, if evolution dont exist where did these other species come from

Why is it that you never see that here?

I see posts from Christians saying, "Help me..." all the time. "Why does God allow this?" "Why does God allow that?" "How can I make my faith stronger?" "How can I have a closer relationship with Jesus? Help me, I need an answer now!!!"

Why is it that you don't see such desperation and urgency in posts from atheists? "Help me! How can I make my disbelief stronger? How can I have a more non-existent relationship with Jesus?"

Why is it that we see posts that say, "I used to be a Christian, now I'm an atheist" but not "I used to be an atheist, but now I'm a Christian?"

It looks like a pretty one-way street. Why is that?

I know what it means. I went to theology school attented numerous amounts of denominational churches and spent 18 years of my life surrounded by church. So spare me the scriptures and the long explanations.

My moms mom is sick with a cold and has been for the past couple of days. This morning I heard my moms stepdad say "in the name of jesus christ you will be healed"....

Last time I checked....she is still sick...is there a timeline for that? i mean if you say it like that you would expect for it to happen immediately. Or at the end of the week when shes better will jesus still get the credit??

thats convinient...(sp.??)

but I don't want to be labeled Christian at times because of how some people represent Christianity. What would be a good name for someone who Believed Jesus was the messiah, not God, hell is just the lack of God's presence, and who does not judge others, or is not intollerant?
