if i am wrong i will have lost nothing.
if i am wrong about deciding to live by the law of God, i lose nothing. i do gain a lot of good habits and learn how to treat people with love, respect, and honestly.

if i am wrong about God belessing me,i lose nothing. i do however reap the benefits of my divine health, favor with the people i work with and my family, wisdom in many areas of life, freedom from addictions, my needs being met, etc. (there are so many).

If i am wrong about trusting God and living in peace, i lose nothing. i do gain freedom from worry and stress.

If i am wrong about going to heaven when i die, i lose nothing. if there is no heaven or hell and we all just no longer exisit then what do i lose? why give up my peace about dying and death?

if i am wrong we will never know. if i am right and God's Word is true then ufortunately, millions will learn the extremely hard way for all of eterninty.

Oh well... I am not so close minded as to think I am incontrivertably correct in all my assumptions that would just be arrogant. I have been wrong before and I am certain to be wrong again... what makes the difference is I can actually admit my faults and ignorance without much trouble at all.. Also to begin with I am Agnostic so I already admit my ignorance and dont presume my beliefs are knowledge... thats why its called a belief because you have no evidence to make it a fact. I dont believe there is a god but I dont know that so if my beliefs are wrong I will simply be happy to have the facts so I can change my belief to actual knowledge.

What if You're Wrong?
Question can be turned back on questioner in a heartbeat. Then you have Tyr, Thor, Isis Diana etc. to answer to, letsee, 2 Gods or 2 billion Gods and Goddesses. Bria knows which is more logical:)

PS no arrogance of I know im right and youre wrong, if you actually believed that you would NOT have asked the question in the first place.

I am wrong all the time. No big deal, just part of being human.

As an agnostic, I don't think I can be wrong on this one though. I haven't seen any proof of the existence of God, if he/she exists then it is because he/she chose not to reveal it to me. If God doesn't exist, then no problem.

If God does exist then I am waiting on a revelation, I have spent most of my life seeking God, in different religions, in reading the Bible, in prayer and in talking with other religious people. So far, no God.

Most Christians will say that God is beyond us and its not up to Him to prove anything. In the next breath they will say that he is a God of Love. It never appeared loving to me, for a God to hide behind mystery and unclear text. It seems like that behavior has cause division and war throughout the ages.

Then I'm wrong. No worries. At least I'll know I lived a pretty good life, being a good example (most of the time), helping others, and caring for my family. In the religious sense, we'll be judged individually, based on our acts, intentions, etc. I'm comfortable with that.

If I'm wrong, I'll be wrong.
If it is a matter of religion, maybe in my next life I'll get it right.
I learn everyday of things that I need to learn and proceed to educate myself.
If what I know is not right, then I have wasted a lifetime of study. Am I afraid of death because I may be wrong? No.
If I'm wrong about certain subjects, I try to listen to all sides of a debate, then make up my own mind. I don't listen to others who may be wrong too. Then I feel it is my responsibility alone.

It has always been much less painful to admit when i was wrong, and sincerely tried to make it right. Usually people accept my acceptance of responsibility, and help with the corrective action. Sometimes, you get slammed, but at least you have a clean conscience.

Life consist of choices. To not choose is still a choice. I chose to do the things I don't want to do and don't do the thing's that I should do. There is no bigger sinner than i. i am the chiefest of all sinners. Paul was anti-Christ... word's and work's... in the sense that faith without works is dead, show me your faith by your work's and i will show you my work's by faith! Work's are different than faith. If a man eats by faith it is accounted unto him as??? It was through the faithfulness of Christ that we have been and are now being set free.

If I'm wrong too bad. I disbelieved with honest intentions and for all the right reasons so I would have nothing to be ashamed of.

Then I'll be able to look whatever deity does turn out to exist in the eye with a clean conscience and say, "I lived my life in the pursuit of truth. If you wanted me to find you, you should have laid down meaningful evidence for it."

What would always be wrong would be to "believe" someone or something else and not seek the "truth" of ones self.
