I understand many religions have been interpreted to aid in many peoples causes. I am just trying to understand why many muslims are ok with suicide bombing.

If it's not possible to have free will without evil, then the situation in Heaven is one of the following:
1) You have no free will in Heaven but also no evil
2) You have evil in Heaven and free will (like earth)

So which is it?

If it IS possible to have free will without evil, then why are evil acts allowed on Earth?

So many people here are coming across as disillusioned, angry, frustrated and totally hating toward anything to do with God. What has happened to cause this attitude?

Adam and eve lived 800 or so years and each generation lived a bit less years. Than we got to a point where people were to get married very early due to low life span. Now it seems we are on an up turn living longer but this seems based on medical beliefs versus faith.

How do you feel about this? Do you think your faith in religion or pure science can affect your age on earth?

Do you feel it is deeper than that? Say when we are ready to go, we go? Also maybe inspired on fear, like if we get hurt or ill our own belief and faith in either God saving you or a doctor or just your own will?

The LCMS does not believe that baptism is ABSOLUTELY necessary for salvation. The thief on the cross was saved (apparently without baptism), as were all true believers in the Old Testament era. Mark 16:16 implies that it is not the absence of baptism that condemns a person but the absence of faith, and there are clearly other ways of coming to faith by the power or the Holy Spirit (reading or hearing the Word of God). Still, baptism dare not be despised or willfully neglected, since it is explicitly commanded by God and has his precious promises attached to it. It is not a mere "ritual" or "symbol," but a powerful means of grace by which God grants faith and the forgiveness of sins.

The Bible says that "The living are conscoius that they will die, but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all."(Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10), so why do the churches teach that some part of humans survive death?

We are NOT little babies. We are very Powerful spiritual beings that can go anywhere
in Creation just by thinking about it! And we must learn self-control.
This is our world. We make our beds, and we have to sleep in them.
Get used to it! Because what is coming is just a Change. And after a time of peace,
things will be right back to the way they were before.
Read the Book!

We get harassed by christians all the time, and we get told we are going to hell 24/7 christians get special treatement, they wear thier crosses and nobody says a thing, we wear our Pagan symbols, and christians sneer at us and harass us,and we are more likely to get fired for being Pagan than a christian is for being christian. So the *christians are being persecuted* is an unfounded statement with no proof to back it up. Take that silver spoon and shove it up your @$$

In the christian bible jesus tells his followers to turn the other cheek. he demonstrates this by not getting himself out of the crucifixtion by wiping out the romans. so my question is this If all these people who claim to be christians (george bush, jerry falwell etc...) are so jesus like why do they feel the need to be violent towards there enemies. Shouldnt there be more of them willing to "turn the other cheek" be humble about the situation and sit down with their enemies? Aren't we supposed to love our neighbors and brothers like we love ourselves? the meek inherit the earth right? I am reading the same bible right? or are the right wing extremists in this country just as bad as the people they say are our enemies.

This question is a repost... I didn't get a lot of answers, and I'm assuming that there's a good amount of traffic right now.

It's addressed to believers in God.
What do you know about atheists?

Other than the fact that Muslims think that the way to resolve overpopulation and global warming is by murdering those who believe in other religions? I, by the way, do not agree with them on this point. I just can't seem to find anything good about murderers and terrorists. Maybe someone out there can enlighten me.
