They look like people who are seeking their truth.

They just don't want to be told what it is.

They want to find it on their own.

Love and blessings Don

My personal view on atheists is the following, I understand them as I understand people of faith. If you take a person raised in a religious home most children end up with a faith and understanding based on teachings from family and church. Now a person in the up bring can and has become atheist as well. I think it is an easy answer however. My studies in arguments that you are only a biological being seems to easy of an answer. To live and die and that's it, is to simple. I understand some doctrines can be flawed but I do see divine truths. I think if and when a person wants to learn what is out there and begins looking they can find answers. I feel atheists just close th book and won't look. It seems a stubborn approach to say the least but again some people don't want more nor care about there being more. I think we should be allowed to believe in what we want and understand why each us believe the things we do. At the end of the day we are still holding faith in either route me choose. As there is no proof. Unless you die and come back and have and the experience to see what is the truth of it all you still hold faith. That alone speaks volumes.

I think through out all of your lives we should at least come to a point where we really think about it and what we want for answers. We have free will and can do anything or nothing which is the beauty, but to ignore the subject through out an entire life is very unfortunate to say the least on the matter.

Atheists do not believe in any deity.
Atheists came to a logical and or scientific reason to support this belief.
Some Atheists were raised with religion.
They can not worship a devil, for they do not believe in a God.
They are angry that there are so many Christians trying to dictate how Americans should live their lives.
They want equal rights, the right to believe what they want, and the right to not be called names and belittled because of their belief.
Some atheists are very tolerant, others think they are better than theists. Some are very respectful, others are rude, and condescending.
I used to be atheist. I never vocalized to a believer that they were brainwashed, they were uneducated, their God was a sky fairy. It was just something I couldn't believe in at the time, so I left well alone. And I appreciate those who act the same.

I'm a Pagan, do I count as a believer?

I'l lsay I do. Atheists accept no divinity of any sort [well, there are some Atheists who view humanity as a god, but I don't want to get into the flavor of Atheists.] Atheists work on things logically, and are generally quite intelligent [however, some are just kids who want attention.] Atheists believe that when we die, nothing happens, as the brain stops functioning.

Really, an Atheist s your average person, what else is there to say? they aren't all Evolution-loving lunatics [trust me, if you ever meet a millitant evolution theorist, run. They are almost as scary as creationists at that point.], and they don't all hold doctorates.

I live in a small town, very Christian oriented and actually, I don't know anything about atheists. I assume, if they are American, then their parents or grandparent are Christian or at least have a religion and believe in God. I worry about people who don't believe in God, I hope they will find their way back to Him. I can't imagine that they have alot of faith or hope in anything, I don't understand how they could love deeply and selflessly without God.That is my opinion, I'm sure it will offend someone and if so, it's what I belive, I don't appologize for my belief in God and Jesus.

I know that they don't believe in God, that our bodies were not masterfully designed by our Creator, that the trees and the oceans and the mountains and the animals and the grass and the sky and the rain were not created by our Heavenly Father. I know that they don't believe the way to Heaven is through our Savior Jesus Christ who ultimately died for our eternal life. They don't believe in Christ's return. I know that they have never felt the love of God, that they will never know. I know that they are probably really GOOD people that are deceived and will never know eternal Life. I pray for them that they will...............

Atheists believe that God or any other Deity is man made. How they treat religious people depends entirely on the individual. I know many atheists that believe they are enlightened, and religious people are insecure idiots who need Divine reassurance. I also know atheists that believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I can not judge all as a group but as individuals, there are some that call themselves atheists because they are outsiders, some are plain afraid, while others are lost. Some are hard to get along with, some do not let you close to them etc.
