Has the routine of Church/Religion driven away peoples drive to get to know their only duty to God?

I heard someone say when religion meets crisis, religion we fail everytime. Only relationship with God can conquer all -- (this quote is from Frontline.to -- teaching Pastor Todd Philips)

Yeah I'm sure this question has appeared many times. Well for me, the bible hasn't been proven false. I don't believe in creationism young earth stuff. While I accept evolution I'm not hip to natural selection.

Granted some things may not have been proven to happen, yet they haven't been proven not to have happened either.

So the evidence of truth is based on faith. That is, my evidence is personal to me and only to me. Until something that happens that undermines that it is the way it is.

With that said, what makes the bible untrue to you?

Set aside all the crazy doctrine and base your answer on pure fact only. So don't say the bible is false because the world is millions of years old... the bible doesn't state the age of the earth.

If it contradicts itselft, post the contradiction so I can study it. But post a real contradiction and not a mistranslation.

Why is it so hard to believe God is a God of wrath and that he chastises those he loves? God sent out Joshua in the Old Testement to kill those who had possessed a land that didnt even belong to them. I am glad God is a God of love but I also know God is a God of wrath.
