We are human beings having experiences. Experiences are "spiritual" in the sense that they are not physical things. They are, however, generated or supported by physical things, namely, neurons, brain cells and your central nervous system. A good analogy is a computer. Without software its just a bunch of wires and electrical components. On the other hand, software by itself is nothing more than a bunch of 0's and 1's stored on some medium. Together they can be a machine which is operating and capable of doing many things. Human beings are the hardware and our thoughts are the software. So, we are simply human beings having experiences. Nothing more is needed to explain this.

I do not believe in spirits or supernatural beings though. My definition of spirituality is acknowledging one's place in the universe while understanding and willfully interacting with the symbols in which the story of one's life is told. For me, the overwhelmingly present symbol is Wolf, in the various aspects such as Fenrir, Grandfather Wolf, etc...
