Amen to that!
If I served a God who bends the rules....then He wouldn't be perfect and Almighty.
Praise God!!!

Definitely Wrathful.
Think of all the people who were created by God who will never receive the gift of salvation.
Because he is Omnipotent, God knew ahead of time that they wouldn't accept salvation, yet he chose to create them anyway. They were created so that they could burn eternally in Hell. Otherwise why create them, some will say freedom of choice, but it seems awful cruel to create a human that you know will burn for eternity just to make a point about making the wrong choice.
I say Wrathful is exactly the right word

people who sin deserve in basic terms God's wrath, and all have sinned. at present, God's wrath is appeased and grew to become aside by potential of the suited and eternal sacrifice of Jesus Christ. fortunate for at present's international that Jesus redeemed many persons, around 2000 years in the past. As for examples of wrath, there is: Hell. dying. O.T. Plagues. Invading armies. vast hailstones falling from the sky. crimson Seas crashing in and drowning people. Giants getting sling-shot. Jerusalem getting destroyed by potential of the Babylonians and then the Romans. The Romans getting triumph over by potential of the barbarians. The protestant reformation. God's wrath would be rekindled on the top of the age, whilst many people will lack faith, shop on with the antichrist, and probably no longer care approximately doing it. yet as known, even God's wrath might have a "silver lining" by using fact anybody might desire to have the potential to deduce that if antichrist is god, like he claims to be, than he might desire to have the potential to administration all the forces of nature. whilst he can not, people will start to ask your self and doubt, and many would be saved, as a result. So even God's wrath has continually been a tension for the bright stable of mankind. it continually would be.

For give me but why would a omnipotent being need PEOPLE to do things for him? Why would a God of love punish people who have done nothing like a baby? Why did Jesus lie on the cross when he told the thief that they were going to go to heaven that day? His soul went to Hell to get the key to the gates of Hell from Satan. Are we supposed to believe that Hell is Heaven?
When you can answer those and many more questions like them you'll have your own answer.
I'll give you a hint. The Bible was written by man and man is imperfect so it stands to reason that the Bible is imperfect (and it is) not to mention that words and phrases from 2000 years ago doesn't mean the same thing as they mean today. Do you know where Hell is? I know exactly where it is. It's just s few miles outside of Jerusalem. It's a bottomless pit where they would throw the bodies after they were stoned to death and thus they were thrown into the pits of Hell and in Hebrew the word hell means to cover like you hell potatoes or you hell a roof.

The wrath of God is not wrought without His long suffering tolerance of sin. All souls belong to God. We are created for His pleasure. All He wants from us is our love. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Moses is not in Heaven looking to zap somebody just for the sake of loosing His smite upon them.

It is hard to see God as this wrathful, jealous God because of Christ.
What people fail to realize is that God saw sinful, sinful people. Then Christ shead His blood for us, and allowed us to be forgiven. Then, God saw clean people whose price of sin had already been paid.
God did not change. We did not change. The blood of the lamb washed us clean.

Why is it so hard to believe that the Bible was written by man and thus God is portrayed by man in this way? God is all LOVE.

I think your exactly right. Mans pride causes them to be dumb. If they only could realize how insignifcant they are when compared to God. They may realize he can do whatever he wants

He's also both merciful and just. Christ is our mediator because justice has to be filled but mercy is allowed also
