I grew up on a large, park like property and there were a set of trees that were planted in a circular pattern. Over the years, the trees had grown thick and tall, and so close to each other that a scrawny little girl like me could barely get through the circle. Once I was in there it was like a little magical place. Inside this amazing "chamber" were purple wild violets that smelled so Divine they were intoxicating. I will never forget the feeling of being in there; the sights the sound of song birds, the smell of the violets and the feel of the damp morning grass and the rough and rugged tree trunks.
After 30 years I finally found the same smell of those wild violets in a shampoo!! The shampoo is Finesse and I have a bottle of it in my home and even though I don't use it, I go to it occasionally and close my eyes and let its fragrance transport me to those innocent and beautiful years of care free adventures in my back yard.
Thank you for asking this beautiful question. It's nice writing it down for the first time in my life. ;o)

My dad coming home with his first used car. Big surprise for my mother and us 7 kids. Don't know how we all got in, but we had some great outings in it. Still remember the registration number, many years later. Have lots of good memories. Not much money then, but we kids were always loved, clothed, fed, and the house was full of laughter. Must have been really tough for my parents, but they gave us a very happy childhood. Thanks for reminding me

When my father threw me through the sliding glass door on Christmas morning because I spilled my milk at the breakfast table. That was a real wake up call for me and got me questioning whether there was really anything productive to this thing called Christianity.
I actually wrote him a letter a couple years back to thank him for that revelation.

The day I had my first Slurpee, mom had just given birth and was still at the hospital.
(my mom's a health nut, we weren't allowed to have candy or soda)
My dad took my older brother, my younger brother and I, to the park, it was nice hanging out with dad.
No, I never tried to recreate that moment, but i still have a picture of me grinning with my Slurpee.

Being at the beach with my family I guess. It was fun to be kid in the 60s and 70s. I still go to the ocean as often as possible.

I was in church, listening to the sermon. The minister talked about the importance of helping others-that what you did to others, you did to Jesus, and the words moved me greatly. On the way out, there was an elderly woman who was having trouble walking. I offered to assist her, and she kissed me. I felt incredibly blessed, and try to remember this practice to this day, some 50 odd years later.
