OK, I can understand why the Christians are, it's in their holy book,
but don't you think it needs to remain in the context of common sense?
Surely not all of us are beyond judgement by our community.
What does a judge do for a living? Do you have to go to school for ten years and have a degree and the actual position in order to judge?
NO> Society judges and it keeps people in line and it rightly convicts and hopefully punishes those who do wrong in society.

Everyone has the right to judge if you have a reasoning mind and have some concept of right from wrong.

Hey don't judge me just because I'm a serial killer! I have an excuse! You need to walk a mile in my shoes!!!

ok, you're free to go.

Real religious people are not scared of death, so can you say only religious people are ready to defend their honour with their life?

that it doesnt matter what religion you are
or if you have sinned
or if you havent led a religious life at all
or even if you are atheist or gay
you will get to heaven
there is no hell
i know this is true because my book says so
isnt that great ?

seriously though this is what I am taught ... and I dont usually go about preaching it
but isnt it time we heard from others ?
tell me what your beliefs if you are from a smaller religious group
about what happens to us after death ?

I always thought that religion preaches/teaches acceptance and tolerance, but when someone that is religious finds out someone else is not religious or just doesnt believe in what they believe they write them off as lost and blastfamist. why is this? Also, it is my understanding that for someone to be saved and go to haven you must accept god thru your OWN FREE WILL, but what about the mentally challenged who can not grasp or comprehend the concepts of religion and god? If they are unable to accept god into their lives for themselves then are they doomed to go to hell?

All the various individuals with their own particular prospectives, it is interesting to see the mind at work and the clash of prospective. Oddly you never see one who is not bias and can, in a sense, suspend themselves and perceive through the other prospectives, the weaknesses and the strengths.

Regardless, I like to see the different conditions upon the mind of man and many other observing and how everyone is so mechanical when a question is asked, like stimuli for a set pattern of response. Atheist mindset, Christian mindset, Muslim mindset, racist, victimizing mindsets and etc, all group mindsets where little individuality sets them apart from the whole and practically bound by the limitations of those groups. Retarded world we live in.

Well that's my clinical reasons although people may not like it, but what about you guys?

It states that it is forbidden for Jews to take the holy land by force and if Jews do they are legitemate targets- sounds like promoting suicide bombers and attacks agaisnt jews!!

"Tractate Ksubos, folio 111, specifies that the Creator, blessed be He, swore the Jews not to occupy the Holy Land by force, even if it appears that they have the force to do so; and not rebel against the Nations. And the Creator warned that if His oath be desecrated, Jewish flesh would be "open property", like the animals in the forest!!"

Is it right for a parent to choose their child's religion? Don't just confine your answer to that..

Actually maybe if you could also try to sum up in as few words what you think the role of parent should be, generally speaking.

Thanks. I look forward to your thoughts!

In Professor Hawkings book "A Brief History Of Time" he makes the statement that the Catholic church accepts the big bang theory as the beginning of time, Is this true and does anyone know of any other churches who believe or are inclined to feel this way ? I feel a little embarrassed and shocked I had never heard this before, any comments on this are much appreciated.

but Christians do it out of genuine concern. even if they were wrong, their motives are genuine. it seems to me that most non-believers' comments are simply disrespectful. what does this say about us as people?

there is no mention of ahisma in the vedas and other major scriptures, including the gita.
and no hindu rajas in the past pratcied ahisma (eg prithvi raj chauhan)
the only mention of non-violence in in buddhist/jain scriptures, it was then adapted by gandhi, who use it for the hindu religion.

so i dont think ahisma should really be a part of hindu dhurma, since it wasnt mentioned once in VEDIC scriptures.
what are you opinions on this?

I met my fiance at the local church. He was living at his sister's home so I offered to let him live with me. Now I have Christian friends telling me that I did the wrong thing and that he should move out until we are married. I feel pressurised either way, it seems wrong to refuse him and it seems wrong to be together in this way. Feedback and opinions would be appreciated - thanks.
