Have you ever had any psychic experiences that impressed you or prevented you from harm or helped you in any way?

The sixth sense...any legitimacy to any of it or just hogwash...?

Every religion say something alike "...and then there was God created man in his own likeness..." But why, what for? He was already perfect, so why would he need us to be? what is man existing for? For we are inperfect and still we have an inmortal soul?

In your opinion, do you think it would be nicer to dress up to go to church or do you think it doesn't matter? This question came up to me in the middle of services today.

I normally don't dress up for church anymore as I was forced to by my parents when I was a kid. I usually wear a nice pair of jeans or slacks with sneakers or dress shoes. I haven't been criticized for my dress code at church and many people at my church (about half) dress casually.

However, there's the argument that you're in a church and you need to show respect to God. I don't think God judges you based on how you dress to church as long as it's not too inappropriate (scantilly clad clothing, vulgar t-shirts, etc).

What do you guys think?

When two people are in love they usually get involved in physical relations with each other(like hugging, kissing, holding hands) which is normally considered harmless. But what does Islam say about it? I would also like to know about dating and phone sex.

Atheists are happy without believing in God. What's God believer's problem?

I guess you're not happy with yourselves. I'm not surprised. Christians are taught that they're born bad.

Why do town councils play semantic games with tactics like taking the prayer off the meeting agenda and doing it before the gavel -- while clearly still in the context of a public meeting of a government body? Why is it not sufficient for you to be religious on your own, without state sponsorship of your religious interests?

Will God not punish the unbelievers in the afterlife even WITHOUT an earthly legal codification of the tenets of your religion?

Many of you have showed me (in some previous answers to my questions/statements) that there are faults in Islam. (I question if the faults lie in the governments that use Islam to the government's advantage.)

This idea of "faults in Islam" has been sadly shared with some students at the Christian school where I teach computer classes. These children walked away from this lesson saying things like, "I don't associate with Muslims...eh, I mean Terrorists."

This school is in a community with very little diversity. There are no Muslims within a 100 mile radius of our community. These children, and probably the teachers have never seen, let alone spoken with a Muslim. I, on the other hand, grew up in the DC area where I interacted with many Muslims, and I formed my own opinion that these Muslims I knew were good people.

Now, what is the best way to show these children how we can best deal with Muslims as GOOD Christians without judgement and hatred (& w/out endorsing Islam?)

I think these subjects are often avoided because of the drearly outlook some people have about the book of Revelation. I think there would a clearer understanding of the times we live in now, if more church leaders would preach on this book. I know it would help me to better understand what I am reading on my own. Our preacher does have an open email address, but would it be ok to ask him? Or not?

I like to watch them at random on Sundays. I'm not a Christian, but I do enjoy getting a bit of religious grounding (I love to watch Joel Osteen!). Today (and all the last week, really) all the TV ministers have been talking about is giving money. Is it "that time of year" or something? Cuz it seems like there's a lot more of this talk than usual. No moral teaching, noting. Just money talk.
