I think these subjects are often avoided because of the drearly outlook some people have about the book of Revelation. I think there would a clearer understanding of the times we live in now, if more church leaders would preach on this book. I know it would help me to better understand what I am reading on my own. Our preacher does have an open email address, but would it be ok to ask him? Or not?

They won't preach the book of Revelations because it means thier doom. (Babylon the Great has fallen, fallen is Babylon.) You see, real Theists can see what is coming. At what point did the first christian church turn ugly? Crusades? Inquisitions? When they figured out Revelations, and realized, or saw themselves in the prophecy. They are a dead church. The book of Revelation was designed to spear the beast.
Why would they translate the original text, from arimaic, a translation of the old Hebrew, and most commonly understood language, into high Latin? Right there, they have changed the words. They did this to seal the books up, so only they could have control of, and interpretation, of prophecy. Why do you think Martin Luther was such a threat? Luther understood Latin, and understood the book of Revelation. Luther was bent on exposing the ugly truth after the Church sent him the holy bull, or whatever, and excommunicated him. (That is called biblical death.) The Church must of trembled when they heard he was translating, especially the New Testament and Revelations into the common German vernacular. (Darkness was thrown over the Throne of the Beast) Now, I just wonder how the saints fortold that eh? Besides the new translation exposing them, it would take most all of thier power away. People would no longer have to look to only them for the meaning of scripture. I think they can pretty well see it coming in Europe too. I think America is in self denial, and won't face reality, so they are lagging behind in understanding. The Watchmen are all asleep, glutted with food and wine, long past the american dream. In answer to your question. I think everyone should ask thier spiritual leader about the book of Revelation.

Yes. You should ask him to teach the parishioners. Also, please note that the Antichrist is already here.

Many preachers and pastors avoid the subject for fear of losing some of their congregation. This is a grave mistake. People NEED to know the warning signs the Bible puts forth. To ignore it is wrong in the eyes of Lord and they are not doing what they were called to do.Yes ask him about it. If he changes the subject, switch churches.

it would be great to ask your preacher to do that.
it does, however, require a hard study of the Book of the Revelation, something that some preachers shy away from.

He is approachable, isn't he?
Ask away!
That doesn't mean he is obliged to accept your request, but you should be able to ask.
