Stone him to death like the Bible tells you to.

Put an axe in the hand of the biggest Hummel and tell your wife this one smashed the rest of em ;) Seriously speaking though, the issue with your wife should not bother you anymore than teaching your boy a lesson. He needs to understand reality and differentiate it from the Bible or anything else he reads because apparently he has a problem with that. Teach him that the God of his dear Bible doesn't like when you cause other people damage and money loss. If he did understand and was just being a wise guy, you're the father, you know what to do!

Ho boy is that kid in trouble. You will be equally to blame because he's YOUR SON and you fathered him. I personally hate those dust collectors. They're a waste of good money that could be spent on beer. But, women that like dust collectors won't see it that way at all. You are going to suffer the consequences for a long time to come.
On the bright side... There's a shop in Salida, Colorado that is factory certified in the repair & restoration of Hummels. They repaired a large 30 inch tall display Hummel that had been smashed into a thousand pieces. You couldn't even tell it had been broken. Better get a second job and hire out your son too as the repairs won't be cheap.

I guess my first question would be, how old is your son? He is definitely harboring angry that only comes out when he explodes and is out of control. He really needs professional help. This is not just his problem, it is the whole families problem and everyone needs to be involved. Initially, I would let him know that his behavior is unacceptable, but at the same time you acknowledge the fact that he is hurting, and that you don't have the answers at the moment, but that you would like to work together with him to address the problem. NO YELLING, OR HITTING!!!!! Ask him to be proactive in his healing, and let him know you LOVE him no matter what, and that you are willing to bring this to the LORD with him and PRAY TOGETHER AS A FAMILY and ask GOD to intervene with his awesome MERCY, GRACE, and GUIDANCE. Have FAITH and know nothing is to big for GOD!!! Also, let him know that you can put a price on the Hummels yes, but there is no price to be put on the LOVE a father has for his son!!!! When you die you cant take the Hummels with you!

Your son needs to apologise to mom. Then he either gets a time out to calm down, or you remove a privilege for the rest of today (being sunday) such as no TV or not going outside to make snowmen. Am assuming your son is around 4 years old (not 14)

He needs to lean that he cannot just throw things because he is upset & angry or frustrated.

IF he is 14, then if I were you, I would ground him for a month, and using his pocket money or part time job to replace what he broke.

I assume that you have some behavior rules in the home. In may case, my son would be punished. I use a combination of time out, removal of toys and a physical reminder. You son's actions require some parental intervention.

Why is your wife spending money on crap like that anyway?

How old is he? Maybe you shouldn't have "hummels" around a little kid. Have you never heard of "child proofing" the house? Parents fault of they weren't watching him anyway.

Help him clean up, help him tell his mother. Depending on how old he is, punish him accordingly. Help him to replace the figurines by assigning him jobs to earn money, and explain the seriousness of his actions, with love and understanding.

I hope your wife can see the humor in it, somehow

Celebrate! I hate those Hummels - with their tiny arrogent faces and their leiderhosen - who do they think they are???

I think you should creat a huge smashed Hummel collage on your living room wall with some plaster and macaroni. It'll send a warning to all those yard gnomes and Precious Moments bastards to watch their back!
