If someone is mentally challenged, they are not accountable for their actions. They have a free pass to heaven, and are probably some of the most Christ-like individuals you will ever meet in this life.

It depends on the "Religion" being a christian I don't practice religion its a relationship between me and God and God teaches us that we are to hate the sin and love the sinner this is not tolerance or acceptance in any form but it is love, the love God has for all people that he wishes to not see any perish, but come to know and love him and accept jesus as their saviour. To answer the question about the mentally challanged no they do not go to hell just like a child under the age of accountability if they pass on will not go to hell they automatically get to go to heaven because they are truly "innocent" and cannot understand such things. Hope this helped

As a woman who grew up with no particular religion, who also as a child CHOSE on her own to attend the local church on the next road, even though no other member of my family attended. I would by no means ever turn away someone who is (lost) as you say. When I married I became Catholic by CHOICE and I certainly can say that I am not a very good Catholic because I may have chosen the religion but I do not agree with many of its (rules). I do believe in God but if someone else does not I am not going to preach to them to try and get them to see things my way. In my opinion of this, we each were given a brain to make choices, the God I believe in holds each living thing near to his heart and takes care of them, especially the children and the handicapped. But that doesn't necessarily mean that is what you believe. True you must accept God through your own free will, but again we come to the main topic, it is an individuals CHOICE as to what they wish to believe or not believe and should not be condemned for the choices they make unless they harm others in their choices.

Mentally challenged, as you say, go to God with eyes of a child. They will never have the capabilities to fully understand the glory that can be or understand what a gift Jesus gave. Therefore when they walk before God I assume that he will accept them as a little child. Would you hold your 2 year old child aacountable for the same things as a 13 year old child. I hope not. We are all Gods children. Some more than others deserve more of our love while we are hear, because later on they will remember.

The problem is too many people take their own philosophies to heart and cant handle criticism. Therefore, when the Christian has disagreements and criticism with peoples beliefs, they cant handle it.
The Bible teaches to preach the Gospel to people and get them to Christ. Part of that is aceptance as a person, but NOT accepting evil and worldly ways. And tolerance is another word for "you better not tell me what I do is wrong."
The mentally challenged are judged by God like anybody else on his own criteria.

non secular toleration many times ability an approach of popularity in the route of different individuals's religions. It does no longer propose that one perspectives different religions as both authentic; only that others have the right to carry and practice their beliefs. From what you describe you're tolerant except even as it is pushed on you.

No - The mentally challenged, God considers them as little children unable to know right from wrong.
The false religions are without excuse in knowing God. He left His word the Holy Bible and He warned all not to change a word in it. Be very careful of any religion who changed the Bible to fit the church or organization. Originally the catholic church was protested for such by the protestant religions of today. One cannot read God's Holy Bible, King James Version without realizing that from Genesis to Revelation it is all about Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God and Lord of all.

They aren't "written off" they are upheld in prayer that they will one day see the Truth. I was saved at the age of 3 and I new what I was doing and what it meant. You would have to be very severely mentally handicapped to not understand the simplicity of loving Jesus. For those who are that mentally handicapped, I do not believe they are held accountable but are like an infant that knows no sin.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Chirstianity preaches love and foregiveness. Its tells us not to judge others. But it clearly states that Jesus Christ is the only way to Eternal Life Im not judging anyone by stating this fact. If you claim to love the Lord I believe you.. Since the Mentally challenged can not fully understand the law and teaching of the Bible they will not be held accoutanble.
