When you think about it, the overwhelming majority of adults have been conditioned into whatever it is they happen to "believe" as a direct result of the influences upon them during the very early formative years of life, when our brains are like sponges that sop up whatever is fed into them by parents, other adult family members, church, school, and local and general society. All this "stuff" gets hardwired in, so that by the time that person is old enough to ask "why?" he no longer has the ability to, because he cannot even determine what has been "fed" to him and what he feels he has come to believe all by himself. A person who grows up constantly hearing a phrase like "God didn't intend for us to......" is going to continue parrotting it for the rest of his life - unless by some incredible chance, the veil is suddenly lifted from his eyes and he can recognise that he doesn't have one legitimate clue why he has believed this or that all his life. He never did any personal thinking and pondering about it. He just blindly accepted what everybody else told him he was supposed to believe about a very powerful "God" who gets awfully pissed off when people dare to question their "belief" Indeed, God put inside the skull of every human being an incredible computer with a self-expanding harddrive so that it could hold a virtually infinite amount of data, but then severely punishes those who have the AUDACITY to actually use this gift to do their own thinking.
It rather suggests that this "god" endowed us humans with that remarkable device, and then changed his mind about the wisdom of allowing us to use it LOL. But if that is so, why the heck didn't "he" simply delete those first two humans and start over, so that we could, by this time, simply be "saintly robots" all acting alike, thinking alike, and wandering around with fixed smiles on our faces saying "praise the lord" to everybody we passed in the street?
Oooops, problem. What streets? Without thinking, creative brains, we would never have learned how to build streets, now would we?

Sure, That makes some sense to me...But what would you have done differently if you were GOD?
So many people want GOD to just GIVE US THIS PERFECTION, before the work is done...
Before we have an OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE A CHOICE, whether to follow ,good or evil.
You know?
So I think to say that he didn't intend for us to know YET..., may be a better statement.
And so those who say anything less, yes I suppose they are LIMITING THEIR MINDS CAPACITY to further expand and experience that which GOD WANTS us to learn on our own, with HIM as our Guide/ COUNSELOR...
Praise God!!!
May He open the eyes of your heart, and POUR BLESSINGS down upon you, in JESUS HOLY NAME, I PRAY...AMEN.

i personally would never say what God intended or didnt intend,,,,, plus i have always said,,,,, God made me the way i am,,,, so if my brain arrives at certain conclusions, who is to say thats wrong? something within me lead me to feel it really doesnt matter how you arrive at your personal spirituality and relationship with God, its just good if you do,,,,,, i agree that many things stated in the Bible were addressed to biblical times,,,,, while there are great truths that carry on threw the ages,,,,,, many get into the minute details of it, rather then the major messages,,,,

Anyone who reads the Bible's story of Adam and Eve knows that knowledge and religion were not meant, in Biblical times, to be compatible. Believe, believe, believe...or burn. God didn't tell anyone anything. God does not exist. People told other people what they thought God said, felt, and did, and that still continues today.

Because "thinking" is hard. And thinking about things like god, threaten a lot of things about their world. Question god and you get problems with morality, eternal life and your family and community. So it's easier to turn off the think, shuddup and believe what you're told.
Not better. Just easier.

True, because people can only talk or write about what they conceive of. That is why it is so difficult for us to think about the world existing from time immemorial, because as humans we have to put everything into a time frame.

Good question. I like to think of it a system that someone or something set up ahead of time, and it's our job to advance and uncover new mysteries such as medical or technological advances.
