Please explain where our emotions came from.
*This is an extension of a question I asked before, and I would like more clarification from Atheists/those who do not believe in Intelligent Design.

The answers I was given before almost entirely stated that emotions ARE animalistic, and that they evolved along with the animal until we became humans and our brains were large & complex enough to use the emotions that had evolved.

I beg to differ. The below excerpts are from Dictionary.Com and Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia.

animalistic - of or pertaining to animalism.

1. Enjoyment of vigorous health and physical drives.
2. Indifference to all but the physical appetites.
3. The doctrine that humans are merely animals with no spiritual nature

All through out my life religious people have demonstrated a common trait. That is the inability to question their belief system and look at any evidence that contradicts their belief. Prove me wrong. Here is a clip about prayer:

Even in paradise Adam and Eve had to eat to stay alive? Why would God create beings that needed to have food?

Plus Adam and Eve had to expell this food... How was this creation perfect?

If God is so powerful why didn't he make beings that didn't need to be powered by food.

Six years ago we bought a place previously owned by my aunt. She only lived here for 6 months and soon left due to lack of comfort. Nearly 1 year after moving here I was lying on my sofa with my then 2 year old son. He was asleep and I was watching TV. I looked down the hall and saw what i thought was my husband standing at the end in a white t shirt but as he got closer i saw it was not him at all. It looked like a white mist in the shape of a human but there were no distiguishing features. I've seen this sort of thing before and have never been scared until then. I've seen it off and on through the years but it hasnt really bothered me so much i just learned to let it pass. BUT just recently my 2 year old baby started seeing it and calling it "him" saying it bites him. It also follows him to my mothers house and as it is in our hall it also stays in her hall when he is there. He seems to truly be scared. I am worried. Please help. This is not a joke. I'm begging.
