for the theist argument, I could argue that the "design" and complexity of life, gives evidence of an "intelligent designer", yet there is no solid proof of God
for the atheist argument, I could say that proven "micro-evolution" (variation w/in a species) gives evidence of darwinian "macro-evolution", yet there is no concrete proof of macro-evolution either, since it can't be observed.

so, which requires more faith, that life evolved, or that God created life??

Why did Muhammad say, "that humans existed before the creation of the entire universe"? (Quran, 21:30)

Why did Muhammad say we were created from the Earth (11:61), Nothing (19:67), Not from Nothing (52:35), from water (25:54) and then from dead persons? (30:19,39:6)

Why did Muhammad say the Earth is flat? (Quran, 15:19)

Why did Muhammad say, "Satan is a misleader" (4:119-120) when "Allah can also mislead people"? (16:93)

Why did Muhammad say, "Souls get into paradise" (89:27-30) when "the body can to"? (13:5, 17:98-99, 20:55, 34:7, 75:3-4)

Why did Muhammad say to "keep company with unbelieving parents" (31:15) when he also said to believers not to take their fathers and brothers as protectors if they disbelieve? (9:23)

Did it make you decide to take your luck with "the sinners?" There are many people who crave to go to a place to worship their 'Higher Power', but have been so traumatized they don't go anywhere. Anyone?
And, if you are going to berate the little sheeps already hurt, please don't.

gave you a book that talked about them being the Son of God, but they weren't Jesus, why would you believe Jesus and not them.

Would you think this person was insane and have them locked up in a nut-house (equivalent of crucified in modern times)?

I'm an atheist, so I've experienced this belief in No God and I can say, whole-heartedly, that I do not use any faith to help me believe in No God.

So, why do theists always make this claim? Remember, we are all born atheists, we do not have an innate belief in God when we are born, we are taught to believe.

If a friend gives me a wallet and tells me there is money in the wallet, yet I see none, feel none and see no evidence of money, am I still using faith when I tell him that my belief is that there is no money in the wallet? Or is he using faith to support his belief that there is money?

Please Please Please, hear my question and do not jump down my throat. I do not mean this as an offense, it is a question as it is intended.

For what reason is the evolutionary theory and other scientific proposals shot down by the christian community? It is often thought that the bible speaks in metaphors, how is it then that the creation theory can not comply with the way science has proposed life began?

Perhaps the days of creation are metaphors for periods of creation? I really want to hear what you have to say. Please present evidence to your argument, this can! include text from the bible, as long as it is relevant to the question, and not preaching. Whether or not you think science and christianity can coincide does not matter, it's your opionion and I want to hear it! (non christians may answer this to, but please do not be rude to others and vica versa)

I have five years of training in Wicca, and have worked in the community as a in house reader, and have completed level two Reiki training. I struggle with the idea of further serving the neo-Pagan community,as it seems to one that is centered around left wing extremist, and other special interest groups that I for one can't identifies with. This combined with the amount of back stabbing and power trips make me wounder is serving the neo-pagans is worth my time and effort. I can not serv a people I do not love who's way of life no long holds appeal to me. Any insight into this matter is welcomed

"We who practice the Christian tradition understand him as our vehicle to the divine. But for us to assume that God could not act in other ways is, I think, to put God in an awfully small box." - ECUSA Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori

I could not agree more.
