I think so, people ask me what I believe happens once someone dies since I doubt the existence of 'god' and all, and it's ridiculous that they find themselves to be far better than other animals, other animals die and decompose end of that, once someone dies, they are gone forveer, but that is too harsh for many people to accept and they think they are above all other animals, it's all in the head, it's all in the mind, the human mind is the only thing capable of giving anything in all of existence 'meaning', religion is a creation of the human mind

it isn't just that but it's surely part of it. you'd think some of these religious folks didn't have hair, teeth and nails and excreted on a regular bases. they're the kind of people who need to feel "above" nature, who desire supremacy over everything, dominate the world, exploit it, trash it then transport to paradise.
