Most people are solid on a few areas of their core beliefs (This is speaking of Atheism, Christianity, or whatever religion you are). But there are a few gaps, holes, areas where they just don't have an answer. State your religion and then give me a few points that you can't really come up with an answer for. Things that are just impossible to explain. Don't argue about other entries: Just give me YOUR feedback. Example (and my entry): "I believe in Christianity, but it's hard for me to logically put together a superior being that can communicate simultaneously with millions of people all across the world, answer their prayers, and still have time to hold all the universe together." Your turn.

There are Christian Churches in America who have in recent years been marrying two men or two women.

Does the First Amendment exist to protect the rights of the religious, in these ceremonies?

Whether you are a Christian, Atheist, Muslim, JW, Mormon...I want you to write where and when you believe life originated and then a good, solid reason why you believe that. Sources are welcome. Just don't come on here saying "Uh, duh, doofus, it's like this, 'cause I'm smarter than everyone else in this stupid forum." Educated, logical, non-sarcastic answers with firm proof, dependable sources and well-thought out sentences are what I'm looking for. Show me what you've got.

Israel was unsuccessful attacked in 1948-49, 1956, 1967, 1973-74, and 1982. Since the Qu’ran teaches that the Torah is inspired word of Allah (Sura 10:94) then Muhammad not the Qu’ran must of been wrong at points that conflict. Since Israel has not or will not seed the land of Palestine.

The Qur'an teaches that Ishmael was the child of promise (Sura 19:54; compare Sura 37:83-109 with Genesis 22:1-19) and so Muslims believe that God's covenant promises were meant for Ishmael's descendants, not Isaac's. Muhammad descended from Ishmael and so Muslims seek to lay claim to these covenant promises, namely the land of Palestine.

My husband of 3 years is 27 and an incredible man in every way. He's been through hell in his short life and now he's been diagnosed with an agressive form of cancer. Why would God want to put someone through so much?I love him more than life itself and this last tragedy has made me lose faith.I feel so helpless and scared and just don't feel like God cares anymore. Why would God do this to my husband now?

I'm really not trying to start a religious argument here, just thinking out loud. Does anyone else have a problem with the idea that there is a heaven and a hell with no middle ground? Isn't that like saying there is nothing but freedom or the death penalty? "I'm sorry sir but we'll have to kill you for littering since there is no such thing as a fine or community service." It just doesn't sound like a plan that a loving God would come up with to me. A person can be born in a part of the world where they are not exposed to Christianity but still live a good life. According to my understanding of the Christian religion this person is still doomed to enternal torture just because they didn't accept Christ as their savior.

I'm curious if anybody else believes we should embrace our gay culture and give gay people every right that is alloted to married conservative christians. Full tax, insurance and social benefits to legally married gay couples. Does anybody disagree? What religio-fanatic views have pushed you in this direction?

Did anyone else watch that dispatches program about Islam, where they had a guy go undercover, there were whole crowds of Muslims all preaching about killing the kufaar (non believers) and how it was justified, and that the Quran states that Islam has to move into non Islamic states and take them over....how is nobody else bothered by this?

I believe there is no love, not for the old or the young or the weak or strong absent of true and genuine respect, not necessarily for what a person does but certainly for what a person is. So if we are first and foremost to love God then what constitutes genuine respect toward Him?

Consider the book of Malachi

"When the believer is adopted into the Lord's family, his relationship to old Adam and the law ceases at once; but then he is under a new
rule, and a new covenant." C.H. Spurgeon

When answering this, try to use the Biblical scriptures to explain what it means to you, along with your own understanding.

Okay, so my family is uber-religious. my mom acts like she is here to keep me safe, and that if I can't wait, she will help me get birth control, and of corse, make sure not to be home. -lol- But then, a second later, we will be talking, not about sex, and she will bring it up, and say things that make it seem like I will go to hell if i don't wait till I am married. Now, I know I most likely wont go to hell because God forgives, but is it a sin to have sex before I am married?
