We were not created with the ability to identify lies as there never should have been any told. Satan, however, became a deceiver and he gave birth to the first lie. The Bible even calls him "the father of the lie". Fortunately, we have a God who loves us dearly and he will undo all the ill effects of the lies, the sickness, the suffering and even the death that have resulted. Hang in there!!

Amazing that as soon as you ask this the number of people who believe that not believing in God is tantamount to believing in Lies.
When the existence of God is the biggest and longest lasting lie we have ever known.
People believe in what makes them happy, so they will believe any rubbish, no matter how crazy, as long as it makes them feel good.
Then of course with all the info we get nowadays who knows what is true anymore.

Because to them it is the truth - how do you know what you believe is the truth. Is it the way you feel, a religious experience or the absence of proof of something. Either way there are people who will tell you its a lie

A lot of people manufacture what they want to believe without examining the evidence. That's a lot easy er than studying and facing facts not in line with their fairy tale beliefs.

Because often, the truth is difficult and/or not pretty. The proof of this found in the media. Attractive and witless will trump plain and informed almost every time.
