Okay, so my family is uber-religious. my mom acts like she is here to keep me safe, and that if I can't wait, she will help me get birth control, and of corse, make sure not to be home. -lol- But then, a second later, we will be talking, not about sex, and she will bring it up, and say things that make it seem like I will go to hell if i don't wait till I am married. Now, I know I most likely wont go to hell because God forgives, but is it a sin to have sex before I am married?

Booh, it seriously isn't me. Stop the hatred now. Ask ? ?. I was even chatting with him when we noticed this person posting stuff. You know he hates Islam as well, but it's still easy to chat with him about other stuff.

In a word, 'Yes' it is a sin. But as you said God is here to forgive sin and save us from hell. But even more important than that, God is here to save us from SIN.
Why not wait until you are married! believe me you will be much happier planning a family then worrying about unwanted pregnancy's and STDs.
You have lots of time to have all the sex you want with a husband who loves you and will be there for you when you need him. Please don't count on a boyfriend to be much help if you get into trouble.

Well, the thing is, people were meant for monogamy, the world now thinks its acceptable to sleep with boyfriend after boyfriend after boyfriend, and then get married, and thats ok, but it says in the bible that you should only sleep with one person and that person is your husband/wife.
People will convince you otherwise, and whether or not God forgives is dependant on whether you really want His forgiveness.
Thing is, regardless of what people tell you, you in the end will make up your own mind, so I just encourage you to think first, yeah sex is nice, and all, but its incredible when its with the right person, and that should only ever be your husband/wife.
You do what you think is right, and whatever you decide to do, dont do it jst cos ur mum ses not to!! lol

We concern ourselves too much with the material
consequences of sex out of wedlock. But sex is not just a
physical act. It is a spiritual act as well. We are helping our
Creator to create Life!
One can experience very deep emotions, and create a spiritual bond having sex. What if those feelings aren't returned? Do we consider the emotional and spiritual consequences? That one may never be able to Trust or Love again?
We should.

Some people will tell you that it's a sin- but they're just saying that as a way to control women and force them into marriage.
It's not a sin. Be careful, use protection every time.

Peace!
Yes, it is a sin. It is called fornication. It is a sin because it is gravely contrary to the dignity of persons and of human sexuality which is ordered to the good of spouses and the generation and education of children.

Any sex outside the sanctity of marriage is referred to in the Bible as fornication and yes, it is a sin--not only against God but against your own body (the Bible's words not mine).
