I'm curious if anybody else believes we should embrace our gay culture and give gay people every right that is alloted to married conservative christians. Full tax, insurance and social benefits to legally married gay couples. Does anybody disagree? What religio-fanatic views have pushed you in this direction?

As far as marriage, it's technically between male and female. It has evolved around problems like child custody, the idea that a man is a provider and a woman a housewife, religious observance, and to punish things like adultery.
Sounds old fashioned? Well, marriage as it is practiced today is very much a product of monogamous heterosexual culture.
If homosexuals want to pay higher taxes, insurance premiums, and divorce lawyers, I'm confused.
I remember Clinton signing the defense of marriage act.

1. Let me count the number of holidays we already have devoted to sexual preferences and get back to you on that......
2. Civil unions should allow committed gay couples the same legal rights as heterosexual couples. Marriage is a religious word, union is a legal word. Taxes and insurance are legal concepts.
3. You ruined your credibility with that last "religio-fanatic" crack.

I'm not for adding yet another day in the holiday heavy calendar that exists now. What I am for, however, is equal rights for EVERY American as guarenteed under the Constitution, the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (Yes, I know, that quote is from The Declaration of Independence), regardless of race, religion, OR sexual orientation.
Only when true equality is given, when it embraces ALL of its citizens, will this nation be truly proud and strong.

K here the thing, Im christian I dont belive in homosexuality, but if these people want to be married and want to be as miserable as the rest of us, well then let them. But you certanly recruit me in the homosexuality army, Got It?

About economic rights I am for it but don't call it Marriage, Marriage has been copyrighted by tradition, they have a new product call it civil union, or homorriage, gayrriage or lesborriage.
National Homorriage Day...there is a ring to it

i agree! it's about human rights, not religious rights. just because a person is gay doesn't make them less of a person.

It should be recriminalised and reclassified as a form of mental disfunctia.
People dont actually buy that "born that way rubbish"
Seeing as its a socialogical disease there is no reason to think they cant be re-educated.
