Of course there should not be laws effecting gay marriage. In this day in age, through the study of identical twins, most scientists are in agreeance that homosexuality is largely genetically based. Over 50% of identical twin pairs where one is gay, the other is also. Compare this to around 5% of regular siblings, and the evidence is quite clear. Homosexuality has been observed in almost every animal species observable, which rules out cultural trends. It bothers me when people discriminate against people, and don't really understand why they are doing it.....
I used to be against gay marriage, then I matured through college and learned the facts. Discriminating against homosexuals is hardly better than discriminating against a person of a different race. Gay marriage does not effect any straight people. No one is forcing you to go to their weddings. Without gay marriage there will still be homosexuals...

The whole gay "marriage" issue is not about love and commitment. It is about all the benefits that come with "marriage." There are a ton of state and federal benefits that are given to "married" couples. So even if a "civil union" was allowed in a state giving them all the same rights as a "married" couple, the gays would still push for "marriage" thinking that would give them all the federal benefits also.
However, the debate is getting moot. Due to San Francisco illegally issuing marriage licenses and Mass allowing gay marriage, quite a few states either amendment their Constitutions or passed laws defining marriage as between a man and a woman. In their effort to push their fight, the gays actually set themselves back several decades.

Steve and Adam do not affect me on a personal level. I have no need to judge them. Nor do I wish to be judged. Our sexual preference is personal. I assume we all Know that biologically, Adam and Steve are not having a kid together. I only had 3 kids. Those 3 procreative sexual liasons were not the be all, end all of my experience. So, let's not make rules for Adam and Steve and anybody, based on what is best for the little darlings that take such little time and effort to create!

First of all, if Adam marry Steve, then there is no you or me, because there is no reproduction.
As for your gay marriage, well, I do not really care how you choose to do in your life, but don't come changing the definition of marriage to suit your selfish desires. and who knows what, someone will come and say they want to marry a dog or a cow, or even an Ape, should we be accepting that as marriage too?
It is not religion that you should be concern, think about human extinction, and aids. Blaming religion for everything is just so immature, and illogical.

I am Christian and I truly believe that the Bible is the Word of God, but I feel sorry, if you find the Word of God is garbage.
But I agree, if someone says "Don't teach or show kids, what you don't want them to learn or do. for example
If you don't want your kids to smoke, set them good example and quit smoking. The same thing is true if you don't want your kids to use bad language.
Can you imagine, if the kids have gay parents, they would do the same thing, because they think it's totally fine to be gays and so they will be gays too, when they grow up. If everybody is gay, then who will have kids ? Keep in mind that Gays and lesbians can not have kids, I am not talking about adoption. One other thing to remember is; not every straight woman can have a baby. If nobody reproduces, do you think we will have future ?
So, to answer your question, I would say, yes I am AGAINST Gay marriage. I don't want to offend anybody, but I have to call cat cat.
It is not my job to please everybody, because it is impossible.

There is no logical reason against it.
And for the person who said that if everyone were gay the population would die out in 100 years. Who told you that allowing gays to marry would make everyone gay???? Would YOU suddenly bnecome gay? Can you honestly say that if your two gay neighbors were to marry that you would become a homosexual? If that is true then you really need to look deep, DEEP down inside and see who you really might be.

Either way, I care not. but you asked.
To be married is to be joined in the eyes of God. (Hence why we get Married in a church, by a minister) If you can't accept the pretext for being Married, then why get Married?
Ask yourself this question, Why get Married? what does it accomplish on your part if you have no belief in what Marriage stands for?
Homosexuality is a Mental Disease caused by the need to stand out and be different. To make the world take notice of you. If this were not true, then you would accept the law as it is now, and be happy being in the perpetual bliss of dating, romance, and non-commitment... But no, you make a big deal out of anything you can. You ask for opinions that you say do not matter to you. Again a scream for help and attention.
Your confusion alone is why you should not be allowed to Marry. You cannot commit to your own ideals, how can you commit to another person???

From my listening to the fears of Christian conservatives, there are three reasons why some Christians fear gay marriage would break up their marriage. In all cases they say they are trying to protect their marriage.
Either:
They fear if gay marriage were legalized they would be tempted to run off with a member of the same sex.
They fear their spouse would run off with a member of the same sex.
Further legal actions would transpire which would tempt them to run off with their pet dog.
Obviously these people are very insecure about their sexuality.

Because there is no such thing|
Passing a law for gay "marriage" is like passing a law regarding the feeding and care of unicorns|
It is simply not in touch with reality|
A true marriage can only occur between a man and a woman|
That is based upon the intrinsic nature of man and woman and their *complimentrarity* as male and female|
An analogy may help to illustrate this|
The male part of an electric plug goes into the female part|
Then you have power|
But you cannot connect a male to a male or a female to a female part of a plug.
It simply does not work|
That is what gay "marriage" is trying to do|
In a future era, when people can see things rightly again, those who have worked for so-called homosexual marriage will be the laughing stock of everyone|
They will be the laughing stock of history|

We don't live in a vacuum. Maybe Ted Bundy's victims would have believed that his reading playboy wouldn't affect them, but as Ted himself admitted, it helped put events in place that led to their deaths. Population growth in the west is already very low and Europe truly is at risk of becoming islamized (and I don't think the muslims are too crazy about gay marriage either). Do you think more gay marriages would help or worsen the situation for the Europeans in the long term? If Europe were to become islamicized do you think life for gays would be better or worse?
