Fact is we enter it from the back.
Is it not to protect the most sacred part of it?
Do we not also apply that in our own home?
Most of the time we do not see someone else bedroom before being a friend...
It is consistently considered as the most private place.
When people have a sacred place in their home, it is not visible for everybody either...
I think that we tend to protect what is the most sacred...
And that from a no church goer...

The "front" of a church has nothing to do with the "entrance" or the "facade" of a church. The "front" of a church is always defined by how close you are to the "alter", which is directly proportional to how difficult it will be for you to hold on to your hard-earned cash. :-) ... Notice by the way, the clergy always have access to a side door leading into the special money pit, right behind the alter. So say your prayers if you must, but come in late, stay in the back, and be ready to split on a moment's notice - or else get used to paying the boogieman every time.

No. I can't say I have ever had a reason to notice that. When I go in the front of my church...it's...well...the front.

**shrugs**

I guess I'm missing something, haha. Wouldn't be the first time!

I have noticed that before. It is also true with most other halls, theaters, and auditoriums.
