Fishers of Men

Jesus was speaking to the Apostles (many of whom were fishermen) when He said to them, "Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men." (Matthew 4:19, Mark 1:17)

They were thus called because they 'fished' man to the kingdom of God, I mean, they preached the Good News (The Gospel) so that people could repent their sins and give their lives to The Only Redeemer: Yeshua (Jesus). They were the apostles.
