Under Jewish, Christian and islamic laws, fortune telling is forbidden as all three holy books state that no one knows the future. Why then do people from these religions mainly people who call themselves chrsitians go to fortune tellers. Also, all three do not allow eating pork. But yet Christians do. What is going on?

i pray for my dad to recover from his cancer, but he died, is that because i prayed for the wrong thing? God is trying to give me whats 'best' for my dad, he was only 40...

I am going out with a muslim girl but she refuses to tell her family about us. She says that I have to change my religion if I want to marry her. But why is it that Asian guys can marry a non-muslim girl and it's deemed ok. She is so frightened of getting caught that she won't even hold hands with me in public. I would do anything for her but circumcision seems a bit drastic! Why can't her family accept me the way I am? Muslim guys seem to get away with it!!

what is a good prayer i can present infront of my class tomorrow, that no one had heard of--i don't want prayers that people already know. it could be about peace, love, hope, faith, being strong, forgiving!!!
just give me a long prayer, that people know and is not often used.

I already asked a question similar to thi but I need to know if anyone...at all...has had thing happen such as "visions" or if they have ever had a feeling not just about something but that they have a gift? I think I do have a gift. I was talking about my step dad and how he was going to have a heart attack- jokingly of course- and he actually did. I was in the car with my brother and saw him getting in a car accident, and later that night he actually did. I always know when someone is going to call me and who it is. I have these feelings that I'm supposed to do something about this but I don't know what. I grew up, not believing in "powers" my mother, laughs and makes fun of those who believe they have them. I've learned that it goes against all my beliefs- christianity- but then some people believe that it is a part of it! I don't know what to believe. I'm so torn right now I know it sounds stupid and some of you won't believe me but those who do...what do you think?

It just seems like I'm always hearing these bible thumbers preach to others about how they lived a life of drugs/alcohol/adultery/crime and whatnot, but are now better people because they've found the lord. It just seems like such a cop-out to me, you know? I can remember back in high school my freshman year when this motivational speaker in his early 30's came to talk to our entire school.

He was from NYC and gave us the usual story about growing up in a bad neighborhood and turning to drugs and theft before almost losing his life and thus finding the lord, of course. It just always seems like the same story. I have a brain in my head that tells me not to do any of that nonsense in the first place. Isn’t THAT what being a good person is all about?

it says in the bible that what God put together no one can dissolve and it also says that u can divorce when there is adultery...if there is adultery, u file for divorce and remarry, ur not in sin right? and also waht happenes to the person who commits adultery? also say that he/she did cheat, do u feel obligated to make it work? i've been in relationships, not marriage, that ended up with my bf cheating and i dont feel obligated to forgive since he didnt respect me enough to not hurt me...do you understand what i mean?

I mean Atheists are always trying to tell people there is no God, Jehovah Witness are knocking on your door asking about Jesus, and other religions are trying to convert you. I'm Catholic and I believe firmly in my religion-why should i push that on someone else and vice versa? I think the world would be better if we don't impose our beleifs on others.

Now I know most of the world is straight...which would make homosexual be considered not normal. But do yall think Homosexual is the opposite of heterosexuals sexual attractions and stuff. I mean could a gay person actually make there minds click to eing attracted to the opposite. I think its the opposite of hetereosexual. It is believed by many that Sex should be reserved until after a Couple is Married. A couple is Married by the Church.

Who Married Adam & Eve? God, correct?

So why must the Church determine Marriage? Why can't Couples determine that they will Commit to one another and God himself acknowledge that? He did it with Adam & Eve.

So if a couple is deeply in Love and Committed, why wait until Marriage for Sex? Because Marriage is Holy and is the essence of being committed: Then why are there so many Divorces?

People determine whether they will commit to one another or not. Not the Church, not anybody.

I mean before God created the universe and stuff...was it like a big dark place. Which I think would still be space. Everything thing has a beggining, even God himself. I mean if you take gods life so far back, I'm sure he had a begining to his/her life. Like some where down the line...(Space), has an ending. It might take forever to get there...but everything has a begginging and a end to it. What was it before the time god created hisself. You know that there was a beggining. Think about what I'm saying!!!!

I'm Catholic and I think the church can be very strict.
Priest cannot be married and women cannot have high postions, i think the church needs to relax some rules.

I want to know what makes you personally believe in god, is it through your up-bringing, through fear or do you actually believe that god created the world we live in? I believe in facts, logic and science. Thats just my opinion on the particular subject, any answers would be greatly appreciated
