I think for people to believe in miracles are so vain
because to believe that God has chosen them to be healed is absolutely absurd.
During the times of the black plaque the Church, too, was in a frenzy As the number of infected clergy increased, many individuals began to suspect that it was the Church officials who were responsible for the spread of the Plague. Remember half the population was wiped out due to the plaque.
"A recent Mayo Clinic study found that individuals scoring high in optimism on the MMPI (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory) were 50 percent more likely to survive the next 30 years than pessimists were.
"These optimists also had fewer physical and emotional difficulties, were less limited by pain, enjoyed higher energy levels and were generally happier and calmer."

It is all depend to your faith and depend to God Will. There is nothing imposible with GOD. I beleive in God, I also have some healing experience. Some of them even doctor say it is too late and cannot survive, this is my mother sister 7 years ago got heart attack and got heart damage. Even some pastor come and tell them not a good news. But at that time I got very mad and told the pastor to go away because for me there is nothing imposible with my GOD. Miracle happen within 2 hour after I pray. Even all the family already agree to unplug her but I dont agree because I got faith. Until today She is alive.
But sad thing my Mother die 2 years ago because of brain tumor even I pray, fast but still cannot help my Mother. I have faith but if it is not GOD Will we cannot do anything. Until today I am still thinking if I am at her side might be make a lot different.
God Bless You

We don't know why God heals some and not others. I am sorry for your loss. I just lost my mother last March. Please take comfort in knowing that your dad is no longer suffering in his body and that all his pain is gone.
God does heal though. I had CFIDS for over twenty years. It is like having a horrible flu virus all the time. It was very painful and made me very tired and weak. I prayed and prayed for years but only seemed to get worse. Nomatter what happened I didn't give up or stopped believing in God.
Finally one day my health change and gradually I got better and better. I learned one big thing about bieng sick all those years.
It built up my character and faith in God.
God loves you and your father too. He knows what is best for us because He has a bigger plan for our lives that we don't see.
He is merciful and kind in all His ways.

I know that must be really hard, and I'm sorry for your loss. I've had to deal with a lot of things that seemed really unfair and I was pretty upset that my prayers weren't answered. The conclusion I've come to is that God doesn't always answer our prayers the way we want him to.....simple as that. We may very well understand the meaning of what happened or why, we just have to come to terms with it in our own ways and keep the faith. Good luck

In the beginning God completely sustained His creation without blemish. That’s why it was perfect. He held every atom together in a perfect state. He kept the planets in their orbits. He kept animals from tripping and breaking their necks. He did not allow people to suffer and die.
Deuteronomy 8:4 gives us a little glimpse of how things might have been in the original creation. “Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.” God is omnipotent and perfectly capable of sustaining and protecting his creation.
When Adam sinned, however, the Lord cursed the universe. In essence there was a change and along with that change God seemingly took away a little bit of his sustaining power and allowed things like suffering and death into His creation. Now He permits bad things to happen—and this is a reminder that sin has consequences and that the world needs a Savior. Romans 8:22 says, “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.”

God took pleasure in all of His creation ("http://bible.gospelcom.net/bible?passage=revelation+4:11&version=NKJV"), but He loved people most of all. He allowed the created universe to deteriorate so we would see the consequences of our sin. If we did not see the consequences of our sin, we would never see that we need salvation from our sin, and we would never accept His offer of mercy for our sin. Most people easily recognize that there is a problem in the world. This can be used to show them that there is one who has overcome this problem of death and suffering—Jesus Christ.

this is a very difficult question to answer. i dont know that anyone really and truly has the answer for you . i do beleive that its all part of a huge puzzle that we are only tiny pieces to...and until we back waaaaaay up and look at this puzzle that is being put together..we cant even begin to fathom why things happen the way they do.
im so sorry for your loss...my dad has cancer too. dying is a part of life though and we will all face it at one point or another . losing our loved one brings out the big questions though dosent it. i wish i had more to give you. the only thing i have left to say is....i try to trust that things are happening the way they are suppossed to, for reasons I cant see at this time.
all the best...xox
