There are more than 1400 Christian sects in the United States, each of whom is apparently the sole owner and proprietor of the brand known as Jesus, Jesus Inc., Jesus Ltd., JesusCo, Vengeful Jesus, 900 Foot Tall Jesus, Blessed Jesus, Forgiving Jesus, and the uber-popular I Watch You 24/7 Jesus.

And just for now let's leave out the Muslim Jesus The Prophet But Not Really A God.

A basic concept in life is that we have to work for what we want. You want a good job - you got to study hard, you want money - you got to work hard. These are true. So why does our religion christianity, say that jesus died for us and we are born to go to heaven. It doesnt make sense. Does that mean we can be sinful our entire lives but it doesnt matter, jesus died for us so we are off to heaven? it does not make sense.
What if we go to our creator and told due to the sins we have comnmitted, we are off to hell. Who will we blame?

And He still expects us to believe in Him? Why? If your next-door neighbor suddenly vanished and was gone for 50 yrs. or so, would YOU be expecting his imminent return...?

Serious question. Is it possible a god created the universe with evolution? Set it in motion?

Just curious what your thoughts are on this. If there are any websites that disprove this theory you can include them.

Christians, stay out of this. Your answers mean nothing to me.

"True happiness is not the absence of suffering: You cannot have day after day of clear skies. True happiness lies in building a self that stands dignified and indomitable. Happiness does not mean having a life free from difficulties but that whatever difficulties arise, without being shaken in the least, you can summon up the unflinching courage and conviction to fight and overcome them."

They are fighting together a common foe!
I know we are not a divided house. They are fighting as brothers with Muslims. I asked God why this is?
Have you ever wondered, why would a Christian fight with one against Israel esp. a Muslim?
What is this matter I prayed?
If we are not divided then are the Muslims with us?
Are we with them fighting a bigger cause?
Maybe for justice or something?
Can we actually work or fight together ot move mountains?
Can we Christian and Muslims help to finally solve the mid east crises?
I never thought of this before, I was too busy judging them to see their goodness and blessings they offer :(

Have any of you ever had a miracle happen in your life? I don't mean something as silly as "I prayed he would call and the phone suddenly rang" I mean a absolute and complete miracle that has touched and changed your life and you knew it could only be God and it was the result of your prayer or joined prayer?

Identical twins start out as ONE fertilised egg, then later DIVIDE to become two!!! If God implants the soul at conception, either one of the newly-divided eggs is going to be soulless, or else the soul is going to have to divide in two when the egg does!!! I think this pretty well establishes that souls are NOT implanted right at conception, don't you?

I am not an atheist, but those that I have discussed questions of faith and reason with that are extremely religious seem to think atheists lack morality and the basic principles by which most all of mankind lives their lives by. I would like to see logic, scripture use, and differing scholarly opinions that would suggest faith in a celestial being exists and why atheists lack these traits of morality. No troll posts please. It's a broad question so express all your thoughts on faith, reason, atheism and Christianity.

I'm just curious, and I mean no disrespect. I believe in Miracles. Sure sometimes I question the fact of their existence, but I am open minded enough to give divine intervention a thought.

That said, Why don't people consider the Komodo Virgin Birth a Miracle?

Nowadays, we claim lots of stuff that are unexplained, extraordinary, and extremely rare to be a Miracle, so why not this event of the Komodo?

It's starting to seem like the only thing we can be sure about is Nothing.
I hate faith because if it's all just what we believe- why does every single person's various beliefs even matter? Why does it matter that I have faith if their is no proof of anything?

'I'm taking this time to create my day and I'm infecting the quantum field. Now if (it) is in fact the observer's watching me the whole time that I'm doing this and there is a spiritual aspect to myself, then show me a sign today that you paid attention to any one of these things that I created, and bring them in a way that I won't expect, so I'm as surprised at my ability to be able to experience these things. And make it so that I have no doubt that it's come from you,' and so I live my life, in a sense, all day long thinking about being a genius or thinking about being the glory and the power of God or thinking about being unconditional love.

I have a paper due, over what I believe about Soteriology, or the study of salvation. The questions are drawn from a catechism. There are 24 total questions within this paper that I will answer. On executive decision, I chose to post each of these on Answers! but.... I am going to do them about once each day. They will be titled "Soteriology - Q # ______ . " I am going to poast them, one each day, because I am hoping to get as many different people to answer these questions as possible. If you would like to answer all 24, search them through my name, and answer as many as you would like to. PLEASE back up your answers with Scriptural references, theologian quotes, your opinions, etc. I want you to be as creative as possible, and I want as many people to participate as possible. Thank you for your participation! I do not want you to do my research. I want more opinions than just people I can find on my own. In a sense, think of it mor
