That has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard! Even if you don't believe in a god, what's with all the spook show stuff? Why not just drop it so people will take you seriously? A TRUE athiest rejects all mysticism. It seems to me you just call yourselves Satanists to try to scare people. (BTW, I'm an athiest)

I see many references regarding what we celebrate as Pentecost endin on the morrow after the Sabbath... Sunday morning

http://www.aloha.net/~mikesch/pentecost.htm

Is this a valid observation? and does it prefigure a Lord's Day?

The Feast of Harvest. "Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, 'When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the of your harvest unto the priest: and he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it" (Lev. 23:10, 11).

The Feast of Pentecost. "And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete: even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the Lord. And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first

Wow Christians what is up with all the fossils in Australia that they just found? I mean 200+ thousand years old...yeah right! We all know that the devil is manipulating the information to make us think the earth is older then the bible clearly tells us it is. Right?

It is certainly socially inacceptable to be intolerant, at least toward minorities, in our culture. Is this a fascination with the politically correct or an urge to do good? Is this good?

Is this more of Gods handy work, or should we just attribute it to evolution and survival of the fittest?

Are there any regularly meeting groups?
Do you think the practice is valued by any of our regularly "accepted churches"?
What are your feelings?

How do we know that we are following the "True" word of God and not of the Churches?

The Bible is thousands of years old. How do we know the scriptures weren't manipulated, modified, or altered by the Church throughout time? After all, we are just mere mortal sinners.

If god is omni-everything then why do we exist on earth? Why aren't we instantly taken in to heaven with him? What is the point of living on the earth, far from where he reigns? I've heard people say, "he knows everything and we are far below his thought process, therefore we could never understand what his intentions are for us". Is there any other answer than that? That seems to be a simple out, a quick way to answer a question far more difficult to answer.
I think about how possibly the universe would be god's habitat, and he exists within it. That makes me wonder though, what created the habitat? Is he like us "taker, mother-culture" humans who adapt our surroundings? That seems destructive. Or why would he need us?
Or is he nothing like a creature of cause and effect, a thought rather than an object. Is his sole purpose to guide us then?
Would our thoughts exist without a society or the culturing process for him to determine if we are worthy to spend eternity w/him?

I have spoken with many devout Christians who believe that unless you accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior, you go to Hell. No if s, ands, or buts about it. Does this mean that all the Old Testament prophets/patriarchs (Abraham, Moses, Jacob, etc) who lived before Jesus are in Hell? Looking for a serious viewpoint from religious Christians (or others genuinely learned), thanks!

I am just curious if followers of Wicca do witchcraft. Do they hold ceremonies and believe in magic? I remember a while ago I had a girlfriend that said that she would meet with other people and cast spells, and she said she was a wiccan but she did not keep up with it and I never really inquired. Is there a variety of Wiccans, do some of them do everything out of symbolism but not really believe in magic? Is there such a thing as an Atheist Wiccan?

I consider myself an Atheist, but I also believe everything comes from nature and everything is part of nature. At the same time I do not believe that nature is an entity that thinks for itself. Would this also be some of the beliefs of the members of Wicca?

The UK is undergoing a re-think of its discrimination act where no person can be refused services based on race, religion, sexual preference etc.

This has sparked a huge debate with the Catholic church and the goverment that they should be allowed a 'concession' to disregard the new law with regards to voluntary Catholic adoption agencies (which are paid for by the state and not the church) stating that it is against their 'conscience'.

What are your thoughs on this? Will the decision to allow the Catholic chuch this concession not laugh in the face of democracy by giving the message that you have to fit a pre-determined profile to be legiable for all goods and services and yet again prove the churchs' meddling in politics?
