When it is believed that God is omnipresent, so any wrongs committed will be watched. Some restitution or punishment come much later, but justice will catch up anyhow. If not the offenders will meet God to explain. So, rapists and murderers are not safe as far as spiritual realm is concerned. What about those legally married couple, engagers in homosexual acts, unnatural love making are all in the eyes of God. Especially those married couple, would you feel comfortable in loving making knowing that God is there observing you?

I am an agnostic atheist and I now have to explain myself to 4 strict catholics who are pretty pissed at me for not being their religion. We're all classmates and have gone to the same catholic school from kindergarten to now (seniors in high school), so we've had many religion classes together, including why atheists are dead-on wrong and how to defend catholicism to the death.

I am most certainly not looking to prove them wrong or to cause strife... I want to continue my loose friendship with them... I just want them to see that perfectly intelligent people can choose religions other than catholicism and explain to them that my choice is my own, fully thought out, and not "ridiculous!" as they are so quick to fault me on.

Everything I say will be used against me, I know, from the idea of faith (especially as it has to do with logic) to history to gravity. I need some things that will help me prove my point; I believe strongly in my position but as I've never met another atheist

a triangle for a side view?

It is a common solid object you see everyday.

(I used this question when I devised the first Mensa test in San Francisco Bay Area. --- To this date, no one has ever answered it successfully on an IQ test (fill in, not multiple choice).

"your followers werent perfect?" But Jesus was. God wants you to accept Jesus, not Christians or church.

"no proof" is no excuse either, cuz of Romans 1.

How will you account for it? Jesus is a free gift that costs NOTHING being rejected....He will want to know why you rejected Jesus.

Thanks, please answer honestly, I'd like to hear some serious answers. Thanks!

you must think life is awfully improbable when every star you see has one if not many planets orbiting it.

and there are billions of stars in our galaxy alone, why even create other galaxies?

I have relatives in the US and they told me they have commercials every 10 mins or so on television over there. Is this true?
We have regulators over here. You're only allowed to have an ad break after a minimum of 15mins of programming.

The Bible states that God created man. It doesn't state that God created a being that million years later evolved into man.

So, to me it sounds like people who believe in God, and see evolution as a fact are just trying to hang on to their idea of God.

Long, long ago Thor made thunder. When we finally figured out what really causes, Thor didn't make thunder anymore. I'm sure this trust in the discovery of what causes thunder, didn't grow in one day. Must have taken years and years before the die-hard Thor fans accepted that Thor didn't make thunder.

Same concept seems to apply to God and Evolution.

Shouldn't anyone who sees the scientific facts on which the theory of Evolution is based, simply accept that the creation story in the Bible is untrue?

I have a question about Genesis 6:4

The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.(NIV)

Who was the Nephilim, the sons of God, the daughters of men, and the children of them?
