Although they are not "human", they would be considered Humanists.

Humanists believe that all mankind's problems can be solved with collective thoughtful effort. (it is a type of atheism)

CHRIST IN THE UNIVERSE

by: Alice Meynell (1847-1922)

ITH this ambiguous earth
His dealings have been told us. These abide:
The signal to a maid, the human birth,
The lesson, and the young Man crucified.

But not a star of all
The innumerable host of stars has heard
How He administered this terrestrial ball.
Our race have kept their Lord’s entrusted Word.

Of His earth-visiting feet
None knows the secret, cherished, perilous,
The terrible, shamefast, frightened, whispered, sweet,
Heart-shattering secret of His way with us.

No planet knows that this
Our wayside planet, carrying land and wave,
Love and life multiplied, and pain and bliss,
Bears, as chief treasure, one forsaken grave.

Nor, in our little day,
May His devices with the heavens be guessed,
His pilgrimage to thread the Milky Way
Or His bestowals there be manifest.

But in the eternities,
Doubtless we shall compare together, hear
A million alien Gospels, in what guise
He trod the Pleiades, the Lyre, the Bear.

O, be prepared, my soul!
To read the inconceivable, to scan
The myriad forms of God those stars unroll
When, in our turn, we show to them a Man.

"Christ in the Universe" is reprinted from The Oxford Book of English Mystical Verse. Ed. Nicholson & Lee. Oxford: The Clarendon Press, 1917.

What is more likely: 1) A highly advanced civilisation is stupid enough to forsake the wealth, security and technological comforts of their home world to travel trillions of miles through a cold hard vacuum to spy on people's bathroom habits and molest the psychotic, the unemployed and the illiterate OR 2) People tell a whole bunch of lies like they have done since recorded history began. There is no evidence for option 1), but mountains of evidence for option 2). I would vote for option 2) Cheers!

I really, really, really like your question!
Wow - the final point floored me.

This is incredible. I can't even begin to imagine their religion. When I try to think about it, my mind seems to expand - it's hard to describe. The word "religion" is even too small to encompass the infinite possibilities of what might be.

Religion on a universal scale? You've definitely given me something to think and dream about and ponder. Thank you!

Sounds Miodic to me. With a touch of Luciferianism.

I dont think they have a religion as much as a philosophy. I think their philosophy is that we are all connected, even over vast distances.

Willys cynical thought for the fugging day;

Isn't it amazing UFO sightings have dropped to, almost, nothing now that everybody has a freaking cam-corder?
