I do not believe, and I was married in church TWICE!
Why?
MY WIFE AND MY EX WIFE ARE BELIEVERS!
My daughter is christened.
Why?
JUST BECAUSE I DO NOT BELIEVE, IT DOES NOT MEAN THEY DO NOT BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stupid question, bring back the thumb down system!

That's me! Married in church, children christened and absolutely no belief in any type of god!
Why? Married in church cos i was told to (Mrs Chew)
Children Christened cos it was the "done thing" (they can make up their own mind about religion)
No belief in a God? Well lets face it all religions are based on faith (No Proof) You would think that an all powerful god would occasionally show his face and do a bit of "good"
If you believe in God I'm happy for you but I gave up on Fairy tales when I turned 11 or 12!

The planet has over 6 billion people. Since when are most children being 'christened', whatever that may be?
Over 4 billion people are not Christians, I'm sure you are aware of that. I'm from Holland by the way, a country where the churches are almost empty.

I wouldn't think anyone who didn't believe would do that. The only exception I could see would be if they married a believer and sgreed to raise the children religious. That would make for one very difficult marriage.
I know I would not do any of those things.

Most people who get married in a church do believe in God.
Most people who don't believe in God don't get married in a church.
It's kind of simple, really, when you think about it.

I'm agnostic, I married in a church because my husband is christian. I do not have children but if I did I would not have them christened at all.
Most of my friends and family who are agnostic or atheist do not marry in churches, they prefer a ceremony elsewhere with a J.P.

They don't? Or they are forced to? or maybe their spouse is christian. Or maybe they dont' believe in the "god of the bible" since there are other "gods" out there according to christians.
you see unlike christian people, non-christian people are more tolerent towards other beliefs. We provide proof and logic behind our arguemnt and we tolerate others who want to think differntly. The same can't be said of many christians who only believe in the bible and think they are better than anyone else in the world since they consider themselves "saved"

Usually because they are going along with a traditiion in their families. I had children in the 60's, and felt that it was wrong to have them babtised because of my own, enduring, atheism, but they were babtised anyway because I gave way to family pressures. My own (self) justification was that they would make their own mind up in due course. Weak old me, but there we go, who hasn't, at any time, bowed to family pressure?
