When it is believed that God is omnipresent, so any wrongs committed will be watched. Some restitution or punishment come much later, but justice will catch up anyhow. If not the offenders will meet God to explain. So, rapists and murderers are not safe as far as spiritual realm is concerned. What about those legally married couple, engagers in homosexual acts, unnatural love making are all in the eyes of God. Especially those married couple, would you feel comfortable in loving making knowing that God is there observing you?

I certainly would not do it without His blessing. Plus God knows us inside and out. Natural lovemaking is a gift from Him, to us. By natural I mean between a man and his wife. I did not always feel this way, but I am so glad God has changed my heart on this issue.

If God is omnipresent, then God is the both the offender and the victim, the husband and the wife, the parent and the child. How is it different, just the acceptance of God being everyone and everything? I am no less comfortable. There is a good book on this by Martin Buber, "I and Thou". God has the best sense of humor.

Try to think of being as being part of God, so anything that exists exists through God.

The key words are in your first question..."is He paying attention"? I think you mean, is he paying SPECIAL attention when two people have sex.

Of course not! Here's why...

First of all, God created humans as sexual beings. Since God made all things (including sexuality), God would no more be interested in watching someone have sex, than seeing someone chow down on a Big Mac and Coke, take a piss, blow their nose or brush their teeth.

You're assigning God very base, human characteristics (anthropomorphisizing) and assuming that God would act or "observe" the universe the way a human would.

If you do wish to place human characteristics upon God, do you think that God would be interested in watching two people have sex when there is extreme brutality, cruelty and destruction going on in the world? If we give God human traits, I think we should also assume that he has higher priorities than watching two people (gay, straight, or whatever) have sex.

The idea that someone is watching you make love is not very comfortable, but knowing that I now am making love under circomstances that are pleasing to God since I am married does take the feeling away that I am doing something wrong. It doesn't bother me that God is watching, I don't even think about it. What does bother me is thinking that ghosts (if you believe in spirits) could be around while I am making love.

It is comforting to me to know that when people who do horrible things to other people go unpunished in this life, they will not go unpunished in the next unless they ask God's forgiveness.

To other people: God wants us to be pure and virginal until we are married and that is all over the place in the bible.

Your first assumption is wrong. That being, that god is. Don't worry about nonexistant things being omnipresent. There are a whole bunch of things wrong with thinking like that. Just live your life to the best of your ability and leave the non-existant stuff to the those that have too much time on their hands for their own good.

Kinda hard to explain. God is everything! You me every molecule every atom. The energy that binds the Universe. Nothing done goes on without notice. It is already written. We don't do anything that is not written. We are all in a very large storybook. Nobody knows the ending. It's a surprise! Is it happy is it sad; I don't know but the plot keeps getting thicker!

It has been described in the Vedas, that God, as the Supersoul, resides in the heart of every living entity. Just like 2 birds sitting on a branch, one bird is acting, and the other bird is witnessing the activity. Whatever we do, say, think, desire, love, or hate is witnessed.

You miss the point of marriage.

God is not observing, He exists in the love between the husband and wife.

It is the irrevocable love between a man and a woman that is the foundation of civilization.

Why would God be interested in some totally physical, animalistic act?And out of the millions of creatures he created he would be interested in watching oui?He wouldn't be God if he was that petty.

Who said that God is Ominpresent. That not in the Holy Bible.
He is omnipotent but nowhere in the bible it says he is omni present.

Rev 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
