For the last few days, I've had the words "Raido Berkana Ehwaz" stuck in my head, like a song that just won't escape. I know they are different runes, I've done quite a bit of studying up on them. Unfortunately I don't have my Runelore book with me. Does anyone know any possible meaning behind those three runes being together and stuck in my head? Do they mean anything special, or are they just wandering around in my head for no real reason at all?

Considering Jesus' pacifist views, could he be considered a hippy?

If so, would that mean that we should all have a drum circle on x-mas instead of a tree?

First off let me say I am a Christian, as in, I believe in God and that Jesus was the son of God sent here to save us from sin. My question is, because that the Old Testament is full of contradictions and stories of a God that doesn't show love, compassion or mercy, how can people believe this book is fact when it completely goes against everything that God is supposed to stand for? There are just too many contradictions to ignore!

Do you think the belief that there is a conspiracy by scientists to deny god comes from the fact that most sceintists simply agree that evolution is an accurate scientific theory? How does this contrast with the wide range of creationist theories (young earth, old earth, god created through evolution etc.)?

As you go through life you'll see
There is so much that we
Don't understand

And the only thing we know
Is things don't always go
The way we planned

But you'll see every day
That we'll never turn away
When it seems all your dreams come undone

We will stand by your side
Filled with hope and filled with pride
We are more than we are
We are one

If there's so much I must be
Can I still just be me
The way I am?

Can I trust in my own heart
Or am I just one part
Of some big plan?

Even those who are gone
Are with us as we go on
Your journey has only begun

Tears of pain, tears of joy
One thing nothing can destroy
Is our pride, deep inside
We are one

We are one, you and I
We are like the earth and sky
One family under the sun

All the wisdom to lead
All the courage that you need
You will find when you see
We are one

1 Peter 3:20-21
God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water ,

21 and this water symbolizes BAPTISM THAT NOW SAVES YOU ALSO — not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. IT SAVES YOU by the resurrection of Jesus Christ

I believe a Christian must accept EVERYTHING scripture teaches in regard to salvation. This seems pretty clear that baptism is essential in addition to "calling on the name of the Lord" and accepting Him as Savior. Scripture actually tells us what accepting Christ as Savior by calling on His name involves. And, interestingly, scripturally calling on His name involves baptism.

Acts 22:16

16 And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name .

Let's say me and my boy wanted to get hitched.

A Pastafarian wedding would be the only choice.

Other than dressing as pirates, how should we go about uniting ourselves in the glory of the Flying Spaghetti Monster? Who should preside over the wedding? What kind of decorations or food should we have? What sort of vows should we say? How should the ceremony go?

I just saw this. A Muslim female designer introduced something called the "burqini," for swimming.

http://www.nbc4.tv/news/10754064/detail.html

This is her company, that makes all kinds of "modest" sportswear, including karate gis.

http://www.ahiida.com/

As a female swimmer, I found the testimonials from women who could "finally" swim and not be dragged down by clothes so touching. I'd hate not to be able to swim. And if this is what it takes to make some women comfortable, I'm all for it.

But I'm also grateful that, as a Pagan raised in a Christian environment, I've got no problem with a tankini.

Sorry about lying to you for so long, but its time to tell you. Humans really did live alongside dinosaurs and the world really is just 6,000 years old. Uranium doesn't even decay; we scientists all sold our souls to Satan for the electricity that comes out of nuclear power plants and the woefully mislabeled "nuclear" bomb. You don't even want to know what we had to do to get nuclear medicine.

And the starlight from galaxies more than 6,000 ly away? If you look really close, you can see the wires for the Christmas lights in the photos.

Evolution? Who are we kidding. I work on the ongoing project to plant the fossils. I was especially proud of "Australopithecus"; because most of my sexual energy goes into weekly orgies at Stephen Hawking's house, I consider the fakes almost like children.

We never went to the moon either; had you a spectroscope, you would know that it really is made of cheese anyway. My research indicates that its almost certainly a hard cheddar of some sort...

The Catholic faith considers marriage to be a sacred, life long covenant between a man, a woman, and God. This is the reason that the Catholic Church does not allow a person who has left a first marriage (divorce) to remarry unless the first marriage is declared invalid (annulment).

Do other faiths have any kind of annulment process? If not, what does this say about the faith's view of the sacredness of marriage?

Why do people answer a question that doesnt partain to them and give the wrong answer? Just an example is there is a question here about what is the Christian view on Dinosaurs. Not a single Christian there claims they are a hoax or a "test" but the non-christians answer it for us saying "They believe it's a hoax to test them hahaha" and thats just the wrong answer.

Christians, and other religions do this too, give the wrong answer to a question that isnt directed to them. Of course, its ok to give an answer even if the question is directed to someone else, but WHY do so many people insist on giving the WRONG answer?

So in the bible it depics jessus dying for our sins and that he will wash us of all our sins, i have two questions with that
1: doesn't that contradict even the thought of hell? because if non believing is a sin and god will wash us of our sins when the time comes wouldn't everyone go to heaven?
2: and doesn't that prove that you can do anything you want? if you were to kill someone and believed in jessus and god wouldn't that sin be washed from you when you die, then prooving that heaven is full of rapists, murders, and serial killers?
I have been wondering this for quite some time pls tell me wut u think im christan and still gonna be this just doesn't makemuch sense, and no one in the bible ever depicted dinosaurs when they first made adam and eve, and everyone says that humans never lived with dinosaurs tho we have proof that dinosaurs exsisted. wuts you take on that? thanks tons
