Feminism: Equality or equitable treatment of women, (and men).

If a woman, your wife, works and produces 25% more than another man or woman, should she get the same pay ?

Should she not get 25% more ?

Is not the logical need for women to be treated with equity and not merely equal to other people ?

Does not "equality", presumes or imply that we treat people equally if they are equal, and treat them unequally if they are unequal ?

To treat all people 'equally' is part of the reality of reality ?

Read the Constitution, the Ammendments, and the complete body of U.S. Law. There is no such thing as a "Separation of Church & State", only a "Non-Establishment" clause that is to protect religion from the government.

Why do so few people (even lawyers) understand this?

he hasn't gone to church in many years, but his ex-wife and him used to go together and take their kids when they were married. he says he didn't like the "church" part of it, but he still has a relationship with God. problem is, now we have custody of his kids and they haven't been going to church last couple yrs either and his 13 yr old daughter has been influenced to go to catholic church by her friends and other family so she can have a quince. i think if she is going to be catholic, her dad should go with her to church. she is doing ccd work, but it bothers me that she was happy going to church with me and her little brother and now for the sake of having a party and learning spanish and dances, she suddenly switches. i thought catholic was traditionally something that the whole family is - why would he let her go if he doesn't believe it himself. how will she have it anyway if neither her dad nor i are a part of it?

If Jesus had not been killed, could he have had everlasting life, or would he have grown old and died in less than 100 years? There are many on here that don't believe Christ was a perfect human being, physically, only spiritually. Why is that and based on what scriptures?

‘Let no man speak harshly to another, for he will answer in the same way. Angry speech brings trouble and trouble in return. Not in the sky, nor in the sea, nor in the cave in the mountains can a man escape from his evil deeds. Never does hatred cease by hating, hatred ceases by loving'.

According to the basic doctrine layed out in this country's constitution, the church and the state should be kept separate. This applies to public schools as well. Religion is something for the home and the church/synagogue or mosque, not for basing the direction of this country and the basic teaching of our young. I am not against religion, but am just wondering why the religious groups always try to make political agendas their focal points, rather than enlightening their followers. Also, i am in favor of dropping the "one nation, under god" phrase from the pledge of allegiance and removing religious wording from all US currency. Please, i do not want bible quotes, i want original thoughts.

do you know that Science will end one day. The bible explains that Science has it's end.

is that case spiritually and religion should be in the science section or vice-versa.

now we can discuss science (evolution)and creation together. But that will be just one subject about God ,having in mind that God can covered many subjects, why is it that many people are trying to fit God in the "Science Subject".only?

the reason i ask is because while many Christian claim to worship The Truth they tend to deny truth and fact when those truths and facts don't coincide with their idolized version of The Truth.

would Jesus want you to lie or deny truth in order to attempt the myths surrounding him viable?

Will I be pleased if you ONLY go to the store but don't buy bread? No. I said I will be please if you go to the store AND "buy bread". Will I be pleased if you go to the next door neighbor and buy bread? No. I said I will be pleased if you "go to the store" AND buy bread. Simple English grammar states that the word AND is used in a sentence to require the equal necessity of both ideas it separates in a sentence.

"Whoever believes AND is baptized shall be saved". So why is it that we have no problem applying simple grammar to the first statement but refuse to apply it to the second?

Simply, if we apply it to the second then we will have to change a basic point of theology.

of clean or unclean meats was repealed ?
when he was told to kill and eat he replied 3 times
"not so Lord for i have never eaten anything common or unclean" acts 10 :14
surely if it was repealed he would have known.
yet he still "wondered within himself what this vision he had seen meant" (verses 16-17 )
so he already knew what the vision did NOT reveal
later God revealed the true meaning of the vision
"God has shown me that i should not call any MAN common or unclean"( verse 28 )
none of Gods laws were ever or could ever be repealed

It usually comes up when a Christian is bashing the Islamic community for their terrorist extremists, and someone brings up the Crusades. "Yes, but that was a long time ago," is often the answer.

Do Christians realize that this flaggrant and flippant dismissal of past injustices is highly offensive? I know many Jews and Wiccans who find this sort of attitude to be very disgusting. I know African Americans feel the same when Christians dismiss the fact that the Bible was used to justify slavery for so very long.

Some of the Christians even deny that the Inquisitions happened at all, when there's mountains of historical evidence that millions died at the hands of both the Catholic and the Protestant churches!

I'm just wondering how it is fair to call Islam a "bad" religion because of its terrorists, but it's okay to dismiss Christianity's sordid history even though everything done during those times (war, burnings, slavery) was and is officially sanctioned by the Bible!

If you ask a technical question that you really need to know the answer to you never get a helpful answer. And worst of all, if you ask a thought provoking question that happens to offend someone's beliefs you lose ten points. The abuse-button abusers are the cancer that is killing this site. There should be a penalty for using the abuse button frivilously. If you disagree with me, you are probably an abuse-button abuser yourself. So, what do you have to say about the general faggotry of Yahoo! Answers?
